internet speed?

according to speedtest.net i have a download speed of 2.9mbps and an upload speed of 0.68mbps. i have everything in the recommended system requirements also, but i still experience a lot of lag, even in games with less than 100 ping. any possible reasons for this?

Please download and run MTADiag and follow the instructions.

Sorry to say, but your machine is outdated and doesn't even meet GTA:SA minimal requirements (to be precise, the graphics card does not). I am kinda surprised that the graphics card still works, as technologically-wise it 's over 10 years old.

I recall playing GTA:SA on this card back in 2005, and it had a hard time with providing a good enough performance.

You might try tweaking it and your OS for some extra performance bits, but probably that's all you can count on.

Indeed, jhxp is correct. If the driver updates don't help, you're pretty much out of luck in terms of improving performance without upgrading your computer.

i installed the graphics driver, but the chipset driver installer said my computer didnt meet the minimum requirements and closed itself. also, should i install just the driver or the wireless utility for ralink?

That's fine about the chipset driver; try this one instead. For the Ralink driver, just install the driver alone.

Indeed, the drivers installed successfully. If you are still having performance issues, ensure your graphics settings are as low as possible. If that is still not sufficient, your only option is to purchase or otherwise acquire a newer computer.
