I downloaded Gta3MapViewer.zip by whathis/her name.

It contains 2 files;

american.gxt and main.scm

the american.gxt is probably valid

but the main.scm is only 3kb small..

What do i do to make it work?

Sure wont work when i put it in the data folder :P

since the original main.scm is 600kb

:/

it worked for me but i'm having some trouble figuring out the correct keys to move my character and the camera. Could someone post a list of the right keys? i found some but not all.

Yes... Headfonez said he would add a readme in later... The main scm is supposed to be small, theres no missions or anything, just the map viewer. Also, The buttons I've found to DO THINGS are shift, ctrl, alt, space... and the arrows. If you want to start playing and basically mess everything up, hit enter. You'll have to start a new game if you want to map view again.

Hey this is headfonez......

to use this mapviewer it would be convient for you to adjust your controls to these settings....

Fire................F

Next Weapon.........D

Previous Weapon.....E

Forward.............Up

Backward............Down

Left................Left

Right...............Right

Enter/Exit vehicle..Enter

Change Camera.......W

Jump................Capslock

Sprint..............Left Shift

Target..............S

Look Behind.........R

with this you can change position and camera.... the camera mode is 15

-when you get a spot you like... press PRINTSCREEN to save the image. THen you can press ENTer to run around and shoot people

-THere are no missions

-the position data is the position in the game. just add a decimal and a zero ".0" to it when coding

-the camera data is the camera position RELATIVE to the actor/car/player.... so ADD these values to the position data when coding!

...do you understand? i hope so.
