How do i know when the other player has joined my game!

Hi evry1 new here so bare with me,

I have just got the gta3 mta and i read the instuctions on this website. When i create my on game, how do i know when the other player has joined my game and is in his/her second car so i can press alt 12. Is there some kind a ingame chat, i heard about this and do not know how to use it. And where is the readme located on pc or is there only 1 on the internet. sry bout this but does the other person show up on your radar?

In this version there's no place to see if someone joined...U have to chat and see if someone answers....And the ingame chat sux in this version and always make the game crash...So I suggest u to chat with the outgame chat.And yes there's a readme file for this version,but they forgot to put it in the zip file of mta.You can go download it here:

what does alt+12 do?

It's ALT + F12 not ALT + 12 and it synchronize your partner's car and your car....So you can see him and he can see you
