mike_samaki
I was wondering if anybody other than me would like to see the Normal Map plugin implemented in the next version of MTA? It's a plugin by Ryosuke839 that enables better lighting on peds as well as apply normal maps for them too. I've got the source code here: http://www.mediafire.com/?c4czk0v774ispew I don't think a lot of users are interested in something like this being implemented into MTA, but I would like to see it included if it's remotely possible. I would post a link to the page of his NormalMap plugin but the site is having problems at the moment. Link to comment
Faw[Ful]
Only few people like me will want this to be implemented, but I am sure it will never happen because MTA team wants to keep the same old game and save fps for the low PC players. Add pictures of the thing can help you and give more information like if this is only for peds ? If this can be used by the players in their maps ? The clients need to download the normal maps ? If the shaders can do something like that ? Enb serie can do automatic bumps maps for almost all the objects in the game, it is not very good , but it is better than nothing. And do you know that MTA d'ont use mipmaps , Quake is pretty old and use mipmaps, I already posted a suggestion for mipmapping in MTA and I'm sure there will be no mipmaps in MTA. The normal maps is much more advanced than mipmapping. Left is MTA and the right is mipmapping. The mipmaps look strange in the picture because it d'ont use anisotropic filtering. Add anisotropic and it will be ok ! And what do you mean by better lighting ? Picture ? More info ? Link to comment
