[W.I.P/GM] RACE-RPG

Hello fellow community members,

I am planning to create a gamemode called RACE-RPG which would be a lot like Need For Speed series are - customizing your car, freeroaming, completing races, earning money, racing with fellow users (dragracing/streetracing for wagers/pink slips etc). I guess it's much like something that danthetaliban, Johnline and co were working on/planning to work on but I haven't heard anything about it for ages.

As building such a mode requires quite some time and commitment, I was wondering if there is anyone interested in joining in with me, would keep me more motivated if there was someone else interested in it and working on it as well. Don't get fooled by my 0 posts etc, I am not new to MTA nor to LUA-language, I've been around for quite a while and I have also built a server before which is still online and most-active of a kind, I felt that my time was up and I should be passing on and gave the project to another guy to handle.

I have a roadmap pretty much written down, but I am not gonna post it here just yet, there are 4 major branches that include a number of sub-branches, so there's quite a lot of work.

I am mostly looking for guys with a good knowledge of LUA, but if some guys with modelling skills are lurking around, I'd have a couple of tasks for them as well (e.g. creating some interior elements for a vehicle-shop, which shouldn't be too hard)

My major skills:

• Quite some experience with LUA, if you want to see my work, please feel free to PM me

• Web-development (xHTML/CSS/Javascript/PHP(intermediate lvl))

• MySQL

• I know my way around in Photoshop and other Creative Suite apps

I know a server called alw , its a race RPG and you can get out of the car, so this unlock :

- begin a race on foot get the good car before the other

-be more than 1 player in a car

-use weapons

...

That's by far not what I'm going at. I'm targeting more of a Need for Speed type of mode. You race, you earn money, you challenge others, tune your car etc. Have a garage with your vehicles.

Safe houses, jobs (mechanic has certain specialities, medic has specialities, cops can arrest. medics can drive heavier vehicles better(handling funcs (triple paranthesis ftw)))

I like your idea, maybe this could be very well constructed. with many garages for each user, depending on their race rank and such..
