Guest Posted September 12, 2003 Posted September 12, 2003 I opened a server and this happens (only to my that friend) +He joins the game, then when i join, his connection times out +I join the game, then he cannot join What is the problem? I have XP and he has win 98, can it be because of that?

Are you running over a network, or over the internet? If you're running over a network, which one of you is hosting the server? me Posted September 13, 2003 Posted September 13, 2003 (edited) we are both dial up but we r near so its not a problem, i host the server it may be that dial-up simply isn't able to handle running a server... that's probably the answer to your problem it takes a lot of bandwith to join a server, much less host one.
