Selling scripts...

Does anyone have an idea of how to sell scripts? What is the best and safest way?

safest meaning? people don't come and break your legs if your script is full of bugs or what?

ps: anything you're going to sell people probably going to steal/crack if there's any protection.

Yeah I agree to Aibofoncen. Though protected, selling scripts aren't 100% safe. At least. Just be careful.

The best way of selling scripts, is to put a protected, and compiled scripts so it's 100% safe. No one can decompile MTA SA's lua scripts in my opinion.

Heard of luadec (lua decompiler)? The opposite of luac (lua compliler) though what is decompiled varies to what is compiled, it is still useable.

Also nobody would want to buy a compiled script, you could have hidden bad things inside it and also they will want to modify parts of it at some time.

In answer to the original question, there is no way you can safely sell anything on the internet. Say for example if they send you X amount over paypal, you give them the scripts, then they sumbit a paypal dispute and get their money back. Even if they couldn't create a dispute and get money back, how would they trust that you will actually give them what they are buying?

It's a difficult situation.

Well, i've sold scripts in many ways without any problem so far.

P.S: If you compile their scripts they will need a uncompiled copy, that's what I do.

If you are a known and a trustable scripter, you can just ask for the money first, then you send the script.

That's my point, I never send an script if they don't send the money (and I confirm it's there) first.

i sold many script and if you want to sell don't sell to anyone

or for people without any good server.

It's easy to protect one-self against PayPal chargebacks, just learn to use PayPal.
