accountkiller
This is just a suggestion really, but on the posts that the moderators close for people not searching, would it be at all possible for them to delete these posts, because when you are searching for a certain item a lot of these posts come up and have nothing in them. Thus, the searching process becomes much more time consuming, leading to more posts that have already been answered. I just feel that if some of these locked topics that end with the moderators saying "search harder" were deleted, it would make searching much more efficient. Don't get me wrong, I agree with the moderators closing topics that have already been answered, but i think they should be deleted to reduce the deluge of pointless posts. Link to comment
kuraz
or there should be a link to the solution thread before closing it. on the other hand, this could lead even more ppl to just ask in the forum instead of search. what if the forum would automatically search before allowing to post? accountkiller
true, but if you try searching the way it is now, a lot of the search results are threads that say "search harder." this just frustrates people, and makes them post instead of finding the answer. Link to comment
kuraz
true. maybe the posts should be deleted or moved somewhere where they are not searched for by default. Link to comment
Si|ent
Thats a good idea.. some time limit set to leave them then delete, ill see what Blokker suggests. Although i tend to just delete straight off rather than lock now. I know, ill make a start by locking this and deleting it! Link to comment
