Castillo Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Hey, i tryed to use the setGameSpeed function to do a kind of slow motion but i failed, so if someone could give me a example ( i want the setGameSpeed only sets for who executes function ) Thanks
madis Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 setGameSpeed doesn't work independently indeed and I think it only changes the "clock" speed. Use setPedGravity and maybe setPlayerBlurLevel would also add a nice effect.
Jason_Gregory Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 setGameSpeed setGameSpeed work for me well, whats the Problem ?
madis Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 it's not player-specific (or is it if called client-side?)
Castillo Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 But how exactly i can detect who executed function?
madis Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 If you mean via commands then https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/AddCommandHandler The first argument to handler function will be the player who executed the command (in case all the code is server-side)
Castillo Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 i have this but it sets the server game speed not the player function slowMotion ( playerSource ) if ( playerSource ) then setGameSpeed(0.5, playerSource) outputChatBox ( "Slow Motion Activated", playerSource ) end end addCommandHandler ( "slow", slowMotion )
Taalasmaa Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 i have this but it sets the server game speed not the player function slowMotion ( playerSource ) if ( playerSource ) then setGameSpeed(0.5, playerSource) outputChatBox ( "Slow Motion Activated", playerSource ) end end addCommandHandler ( "slow", slowMotion ) Do this in client-side and it should work. function slowMotion ( ) setGameSpeed(0.5) outputChatBox ( "Slow Motion Activated", 255,255,0 ) -- some colors end addCommandHandler ( "slow", slowMotion ) Do that in client-side!
