Players join and instantly quit

Callum

Question

Posted

Every once in a while a player joins my server and then instantly they quit. I know they don't quit by choise as it's the very same instant as them joining. I'm pretty sure it's not the server's speed either as other players can join, play, etc. After somebody joins then instantly quits debug displays the following error:

ERROR: Invalid element specified.

Anybody else getting this error or know the cause of it?

I'm pretty sure it's none of my scripts either as they don't do hardly anything as a player joins exept output it and show them the login/register menu. My server is a GNU/Linux, MTA SA 1.0.3 (of course).

I think you've configured an external web server and anyone joining your server now gets instant time out as download http is not reachable. If it's so, then you need to check if http is accessible to anyone. If not, then you might need to turn off external files hosting by deleting this line from your config:

Same here, but the error message is different in a 1.0.4 server:
