driver2 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Hi, from what I know from other places, released programs are usually put under some sort of license, which is then mentioned in each file. I've haven't seen any sort of license notice in a MTA resource yet and I wonder why. 1. Don't people want to release their code under a 'free' license (no license normally means it's protected under copyright or similiar laws) 2. Don't people know about licenses in general 3. Do people not consider MTA resources 'real' programs 4. Do they just not care I would like to know your opinion on this. Greetings

50p Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 I guess #4 is the most frequent reason. - MTA Script Editor - Ask your scripting questions properly, please. - 50p's public resources - Meta.xml - what is it for? How is it possible LOL

robhol Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 5. Do they know that no matter what they put in there, people are likely to ignore it or do the exact opposite out of pure spite. Do NOT PM ME for help unless invited. - New MTA Script Editor Scripting help "etiquette": understandable language, relevant code (ALL code if unsure), [Lua] tags, error messages with line numbers. Super simple stuff.
