Guest Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 MTA Server for MTA:VC 0.1 ERROR: Unable to open existing Banned IP list. Starting clean. Anyone know if I can manually create this file? or is this not implimented yet? Thanks Agent
Cray Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 Yes, you can ... just create an empty file entitled "banned.lst" in the same directory as the Server executable. Simple as that.

petebog Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 I haven't tried this, but I'm guessing the 'Ban' button on the remote admin proggy does the same thing.
Cray Posted August 8, 2003 Posted August 8, 2003 Well, somewhat. The Server will not write the banned.lst file if there are no bans to write (same for rewriting the file). So, if you were to press the ban button and actually ban a user, then yes the file would be created as there will be something in the file now.
