I have recently gone to Win7 and when i try and run MTA i get a error saying:

Error! File corrupted

Any ideas? Singleplayer and SA-MP work but huh D:?

I'm running the old version of MTA because i like the map editor better :D But i have used this version before, and it didn't crash well on XP it didn't anyway

Is this forum actually ever fucking used? Never reply :/

It is used. Therefore, please don't double post that it's not.

Problem is, you could have simply googled this.

A corrupted file is a file which is, well, corrupted. Aka broken. It can break due to:

  • Download messed up in some way
  • Installation messed up in some way
  • Hard disk messed up in some way
  • Some application messed up in some way
  • Windows messed up in some way
  • You messed up in some way

The thing you can best do is re-download and then re-install.

(P.S. Old version? If you mean Race, Race doesn't exactly work with Windows 7)

yes this forum is used but you could give people some time to reply. corrupted files usually try to say "download/install me again".

Sorry but i just saw other people also complaining that they don't get answerd, Meh anyway

It's a fresh install of MTA and i don't see why i should reinstall GTA SA because SA-MP works and so does singleplayer

Also the newer version of MTA works, But that Map editor sucks :<

EDIT: how else can i get the older version to work? the race one?

Who ever told you: "Reinstall GTA SA"? What dragon meant is reinstall MTA.

The old version doesnt work on Windows 7. If you just want to use the mapeditor however, you can delete the client.dll file in your MTA directory. This will allow you to use the map editor.
