Hiyoko Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Just tried to play with a friend on MTA SA, I can make the server.. But I don't seem to have the freeroam mode, also how can I open/use the admin panel? Please help.
robhol Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I'm assuming you use DP2.3 in which case both the freeroam and admin resources come with the server. After adding yourself as admin in ACL.xml you can open the admin panel by pressing P in game, after logging in. After logging in as admin you can write /start freeroam in the chat to start the freeroam mode.

robhol Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Sounds like a bad idea. Go to https://mtasa.com and download DP2.3. Not sure if that has anything to do with the problem, but you should do it all the same.

Well I do have 2.3 from the client side, but there is no version 2.3 for the server, help?
robhol Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Ah. DP2.1-DP2.3 were client updates. Are you sure you didn't spell it wrong or anything? If you didn't, maybe you should reinstall MTA.

heavy air Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 broph is a good freeroam resource that comes with all versions just start broph also when you copy the new resources into the server make sure you put in the right folder resources not resources cache and check to make sure your not putting resources in client i have client and server installed in separate directories because there is a server folder in the client as well ( had a few problems with getting them confused when i started ) one folder is in rockstar games\ gta SA folder and one is in program files\MTA on mine hope this helps a bit

heavy air Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 if you download and run http://mtavc.com/dllib/download-server.php?t=0&m=0 this ( its mta server but pre nightly build ) it has everything u need built in just start MTA server and type start broph if your running nightly build then u probably have the same problem as me i cant seem to find the new resources for nightly build i have had DP server running since DP2 and have always used BROPH resource but i cant download any resources from googlecode page so i cant get my server running.
