d3dev3d
My problem seems to be I don't know the name of the program I'm supposed to be forwarding. I've looked around and i see different names; Mta, Multitheftauto, mtaserver, mtasa. Help please. Link to comment
robhol
There's no name, look for an option to open individual ports. The one you need is of course the game port (which can be set in mtaserver.conf) and if you want it in the list, the ASE port (although this name is kind of a misnomer now) which is always the game port + 123. For some reason. The default game port is 22004, making the default ASE port 22127. Link to comment
d3dev3d
I guess my router is different, it requires a name for the program to be forwarded. Link to comment
=RM=Mario
as the program name put "mta".hope i helped Link to comment
robhol
That name is probably only an identifier to remind you why you made the forwarding entry. You can put anything there, it doesn't matter. Link to comment
d3dev3d
That makes sense. Thanks guys, but one more thing. What do i put as IP? Link to comment
Gamesnert
Your local IP. Should start with something like 192. Link to comment
d3dev3d
I ran it under 192.168.1.115, no one could join. They said they had a connection error and it didn't show up under the server list. Link to comment
robhol
There's a chance something's different in your configuration... mind grabbing a screen from your router config? (Obviously, the port forwarding page. ) Link to comment

robhol
Looks like it's in order... what's the 44004, though? Link to comment
MTA Team jhxp Posted March 24, 2009 MTA Team Share Posted March 24, 2009 Definitely remove that 44004 port from there, it's not needed. Also on 22004, switch from UDP to both, and in the config file set the built-in webserver to run on that port. Ah, and obviously - you need to change these .111 on mta to .115 , if the server you're running it on has the ip 192.168.1.115 . Also, if you have specified a server ip in the server configuration file - remove it. Link to comment
