Unsure where to put maps for dedicated server

Back in race there was a folder called maps or races or whatever, now there isn't and I don't know where the map goes. The map I want to use is one that I created myself with the race map editor and converted to MTA:SA DM format using the "Deluxe GTA map converter V2 utility" (@ http://gtamap.delux-host.com/converter/ ).

Could someone tell me where a-bouts in the dedicated server's directory structure I need to place my file?

well after converting you need to create a meta and put it in your 'resources' folder, if you have any difficulty go to the mta sa's community homepage and check out the race maps ( to see what you have to do)

I want to use the map with the freeroam gamemode, do I have to edit the meta.xml for the freeroam resource?

yes you can simply put the .map file in the same directory where the meta.xml for the freeroam resource is located.

Then you just need to add a new line using this form to the meta.xml:

 <map src="map_name_here.map" />
