Guest
Hello all, I did install a proper version of GTA san andreas, then downgraded it to version 1.01. Then I installed mtasmdm_v1.0-dp2. Now when i start MTA, I see the icon saying ''stop playing yourself MTA'', it's loading, then i can see the ''cd running'' icon, and then ... nothing happens, the game doesn't start. Any clue ? Thanks. Link to comment

CodeMaster
Maybe its usage of Windows Vista, or there was some errors like game won't show up dynamical menu. Any more clues could be useful to us to find solution. Also PC configuration will help us too to see what is the problem, performance or game. Link to comment
Guest
Doesn't anyone use the wiki? Halt after MTA splash screen * Nothing happens after the 'Stop playing with yourself' splash screen If you use nVidia GeForce, try turning off nView Desktop Manager before starting MTA. Also try deleting GTA San Andreas settings file ("gta_sa.set") in "Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files" folder Link to comment
Guest
Alright, well before I reformatted my HD and reinstalled Vista Home Premium, It all worked fine i played the game no probs, till now. Same exact problem, and I tried deleting the file that the other guy said to delete and i dont think i even have Nview installed, no sign of any improvement. So hopefully we get to the bottom of this problem. Link to comment

Thanks. Do not downgrade to version 1.01 its version 1.00 get it? EDIT: it wont start of you have 1.01 or 2.00 since they are patched so you cant mod them or script them or even connect to a server so if it dosent start is that the menu wont work also in edit 2 i will give you the rigth downgrader EDIT 2: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15151 better do a back up or something its risky but worth it Edited April 5, 2008 by Guest Link to comment
