Need Some Advice

Hi, I have a PC with 256 mb graphics, which are ATI and not amazing, 1 gig of ram and 5.3 ghz dual core. With DM, my FPS is now at an average of 17 fps - appalling! So I want to ask those techies out there, what sort of graphics card I should get to play the game smoothly, bearing in mind I don;t have PCI-E (sob) just PCi and AGP 8x. I would hope not to spend more than around £65 ($130)

If anyone could give advice I'd be thankful.

£65 can defiantly snatch a bargain just to run this measly game. It’s just cat and mouse on deciding what’s best for you, either purchasing online or paying a little extra for the product in store.

My PC is just a microwave compared to yours but even my little GeForce FX 5 series card does her job.

a 5.3 ghz dual core? jebus, is it water cooled or something?

btw, i doubt its you ram that makes you lag cause i run mta on my laptop which is 1.73 ghz and 512mb of ram with a 128mb ati.

and it runs with no problem .

Nice one. I was wondering why you had trouble as my old AMD64 3200 with a 128mb gforce 6600gt ran the game fine at high settings. I did have 2 gig of ram though.

I usually got 25-35 FPS =S Specs: -intel Inside Pentium D 925 3,00 Ghz With 512MB GF 7300 SE and 2 GB ram

How the hell can you run Sa better than me by just getting one more ram =/ maybe me that got some shitty bricks "Ram"

Well, I get around 25 - 30 FPS too. And I do have 2 gigabytes of seperate ram, ie 2x 1 gig, which sould be slighlty faster than the ram you have (if you just have 1x 2 gigbyte ram) (although it doesn't mean 2x the speed). So there's not a lot of difference...
