Google Gears and Wiki

Hey all,

When I found out about GoogleGears I was very happy. Since I don't have access to the net all the time I love the idea of having the wiki at my disposal all the time. But I'm having trouble:

-I installed Google Gears and have the link at the bottom of the page that says "Go Offline"

-When I click the link absolutely nothing happens, I'm not sure if anything is supposed to happen or If I should just wait

-It says that I will be notified one the download is complete, but I;m not sure if it's even started

Any help on this is appreciated

I get this when I click it:

"Error: Download of 'http://development.mtasa.com/index.php?title=Main_Page_RU' returned response code 302"

I think thats what should happen. I added Google Gears very quickly and I've not much experience with it, but Google seem to have forgotten to provide any way of indicating progress with the downloading. When I tested here it took over an hour to download the data - it'll give an indication when it finishes, but nothing else.

If anyone wants to make a PDF version (or tell me a reasonable way to do so), that'd be great...

Any news on getting a PDF or other offline version for the wiki? I've tried asking a few people whom I know to get it, but they don't have any more luck. (1 guy got it, but couldn't find the saved files )

Go to the page you want to have in offline mode and press file and save page as.

Do it for all the pages ya want and you can open the html files with an internet browser(Mozilla Firefox/Opera/IE).

A temporary method until someone makes a PDF.

Yeah, that's kind of a long method but I can do that for the pages I really want for now.

I found an alternative solution

-Download HTTtrack here http://www.httrack.com/

-Follow the instructions on the program, and you can completely download the content of the wiki.

-Enjoy it even offline
