Invalid Serial Number fix

Many people are complaining about the invalid serial number thing.

Heres the deal:

#1 - Register an account up here: http://mtabeta.com

#2 - Start the MTA installer and when the MTA Account page appears, select "I already have an account"

#3 - Fill out the account info from step 1 and it should be working!

i do this but once iv entered my details then press next, the installer freezes - viewtopic.php?f=89&t=20966

What for this Serial Number is anyway? I haven't needed it so far.

it is created when you create an account. Once your serial is banned, you cant play the game anymore(if im right )

The serial number you see was used by QA and MTA teams before the beta release, it has no more use now that MTA is public.

However, FireBlood, your "fix" doesn't work to me, i still have this damn problem.

Well, thats one thing, what could help, other is to run in compatiblity mode...

I dont know, maybe there are other ways too.

This was the first thing that I made, but installer freezed like DJS said

I think that installer freezes because it tries to get the Serial no. but it can't get the serial, since we don't even have it!
