Guest Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 As the title says, the client crashes right after the splash screen. I've tried everything here ->http://development.mtasa.com/index.php?title=Known_Issues_-_FAQ#Crash_after_splash_screen Nothing seems to help me. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
ChrML Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 Make sure it isn't running in compatibility mode inside Vista. We're pretty sure we've nailed down the issue to being that.
Guest Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I had the same problem but inside XP. Fixed it by using compatability mode in 98. Anything above 98 had the same problem.
Mr.hankeyeye Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 i have the same problem im running windows vista home premium and i get the splashscreen and then nothing i tried it with(even windows98) and without compitability mode both didn't work. this has to be fixed

MISTO Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I have found a way to solve the problem. With the compatibility set to win 98, it crashes a little bit later. So i went to settings and i disabled everything in the video section.
Mr.hankeyeye Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 do you mean the video settings on the game or what also what kind of OS do you have ? again i tried i also renamed the client in C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas\mods\race wich was assinged as a possible solution to people with windows vista but still no luck
