"a" problem

ok, i have a problem with the letter "a". whenever i type that letter in to the name box under settings or in the console it erases everything before it.

real pain because both my name and my admin password on my server contain the letter "a"

how can i fix this?

mhh i got the same bug but i don't realy care. to change your nick with more than 1 a you can just use the /nick command

would be interesting to know what causes that bug

I answered this in the Help topic, but you seemed to of made two topics.

Oh, I got that problem quite a few times. Just hit your keyboard (but don't break it, just smack it a bit). And it won't happen again (or at least for a while).

To fix this problem, I copy "a" in console and I can type "a" again.

Maybe that'll work, but what I said works better. And won't need you to paste 'a' all the time. Just hit the keyboard...but don't break it.

I meant hitting it slightly...with your hand, not head. Hit somewhere like the spacebar (not too hard and not too light).

that could be the reason why i was talking about a "hand"

it just doesnt help anyway, and... why should it? o0 i guess that we all have working keyboards and smacking them doesnt matter to them, they will work or they will not. but why the hell should a keyboard make mta deleting some letters?

im sure the reason of this problem has to do with the code of mta.

No, the keyboard isn't causing the problems. But it fixed the problem when I had it. I had it a lot, I did that, never had it again.

Whenever this happens, its actually because the ctrl button is stuck - so its "Select All" then overwriting it. Pressing the ctrl buttons/or alt gr should fix this.
