Si|ent
Having experienced the sheer joy of driving at high speed around liberty city with another, real, person chasing me in mta i set out to find out all i could, to hook up with the community and try to make the most of this chance to follow the development of something at such close quarters. Possibly the most frustrating thing in my love affair with mta has been 'occupied' servers that have 2 poor new users trying to fathom how to get in game. Finding a server occupied by people who knew how to get ingame is a real struggle, with or without All Seeing Eye. Having sat in the official irc channel for a while now, and had success getting some good games together via that channel i set to thinking about a way to get the more experienced players hooked up on the same server. so having asked the opers how to register the chan #wh-servers was formed. MrBill is helping out by opping on there, and we already have a few (very few) people who come along. the idea is it will become somewhere for the experienced players to get together. If you put up a server, or choose a good one from ASE, then stick it on a 20 minute timer in channel, (we can tell you how), and hopefully people will call in for those ips and join you on the server. so check us out, lets see if we can make this something genuinely usefull' Bump out.. me
nice... It'll be good to have a place to meet, a place where you know that if bugs are happening, it's on your side Link to comment
Si|ent
UPDATE. Following the release of mta:vc.1 the channel has grown nicely, we run adverts for all the official servers, also available on triggers, and several peeps are using it to advertise thier own local-run servers and to arrange password protected private games etc. We also have our own OFFICIAL mta server! which i admin (see www serverpage, or come to #mta-servers for details) So come along, all are welcome Link to comment
