Guest Posted June 24, 2007 Share Posted June 24, 2007 Mmk, So I try to play MTA:SA as much as possible, but I cannot play for like one hour (example), I can play for about 10 minutes before the screen goes black, I can hear everything, but screen goes black and sounds like I turned it off.. Ive been thinking it's my computers lagg or something, but usually i have 74 ping and then bam turns off. If anyone has suggestions on what it may be please post. It could just be lag but its everytime i play. Thanks Link to comment

erorr404 Posted June 24, 2007 Share Posted June 24, 2007 Does it happen in single player or in any other games? Can you exit the game and get to your desktop screen after it goes black? (By typing /quit or using ctrl+alt+del.) Try downloading the latest video card drivers and see if that helps. Link to comment
arc_ Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 Most probably a graphics card issue. If your card has a fan, open your computer to see if it's dusty and clean it if so (q-tips are handy for this). Even a little dust can cause these black screens (read it on a WoW forum and experienced it myself also). Also make sure you're not pulling out the monitor cable by stepping on it Link to comment
