Hello,

I have a problem with MTA San Andreas 1.6. The launcher does not start at all.

When I open MTA, the blue loading circle appears next to the mouse cursor for a moment, then nothing happens. In Task Manager, the MTA process appears for a short moment and then disappears.

The problem started after an MTA update. Before that, MTA was working normally. After the update, MTA asked me to restart, and since then it has not opened anymore.

What I already tried:

  • reinstalled MTA completely
  • deleted the MTA installation folder manually
  • installed MTA again from the official website
  • checked Windows Defender protection history, nothing was blocked
  • uninstalled Avast/AVG
  • checked Event Viewer, but I cannot find any clear “Application Error” related to MTA
  • GTA San Andreas itself starts normally
  • I also bought GTA SA on Steam and tried with a fresh copied installation
  • tried running MTA as administrator and without administrator mode
  • checked compatibility settings, compatibility mode is disabled
  • checked DxDiag, no DirectX or GPU problems found

My system:
Windows 11 25H2
Build 26200.8457
Laptop: Dell G15 5515
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600H
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Laptop GPU / AMD Radeon integrated graphics
RAM: 16 GB
DirectX 12

There are no MTA logs created, or I cannot find them. The MTA folder seems complete, including core.dll, netc.dll, cgui.dll and CEF files.

Does anyone know what could cause MTA to close immediately after starting, without showing any error window?
