supersam Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 hey guys wen i start up mta sa i cant connect to a server coz its unscanned but ive search threw the site and i cant figure out how to allow the ports i try and do it but i just cant can u pls help me
MaX_668 Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 even if the ports are blocked you can connect to your server because its on your pc but other players want see your server (they want be able to join. I think you are trying to connect to the wrong ip. To see wht your ip is go to http://www.ipchicken.com/
supersam Posted October 21, 2006 Author Posted October 21, 2006 no no no i think u got it wrong lol im not trying to get on my server (i dont have one) but im trying to connect to other ppls but i cant see wot the names are because they r all unscanned its like zonealarm is blocking it so i cant see the name or connect
MaX_668 Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 O im sorry Yea I had that ones or twice but I couldn’t connect to servers because my antivirus was blocking it and my firewall. So just try to enable your firewall I hop I helped you

Jani Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Do you have a router, and do you have antivirus software installed? I use AVG Free and I'm behind a router, so I've never bothered with shitty software firewalls like Zonealarm.

MaX_668 Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 I don’t even have antivirus software installed and m behind a router and I never get any viruses and every time I do have antivirus installed I have a problem because its always blocking something and lagging the crap out of my pc so all I can say to you don’t need that you just got to know what you got search for and where i only use my pc for like 10 sites so its cool you can close that
