:Rob
Juuuust a collection of ideas I've gotten from suggestions from friends and stuff, on some practical ideas for the release. As was seen with VCMP, a big problem with boat sync was: A driver would be driving the boat. Passenger jumps in the boat. Driver stops driving, Boat stops instantly, and the two players see a different level of synced boat. Driver sees passenger sliding off the boat, Passenger sees driver floating away. Driver gets back in boat, boat whips over to him, and passenger drowns. a "Sticky" button, would really be helpfull. With a few things kept in mind. You need to make sure the sticky wont work if elevation = higher than like... 50 feet. You dont want people abusing that so they can just stay at some high altitude and shoot at people and shit. But, keep in mind there are some roads and water areas that are like 10-20 feet above "ground level" Syncing the buckets on tractors and box loaders would be cool, but we all know that can cause problems if it screws up, like blowing up other peoples cars because of physical damage read by it being "inside" their car, if it doesnt sync up properly. Fists only inside Ammunations. Self explanatory ;P When you release it, have the default carspawns have some cars out in the middle of nowhere. You know.. incase you crash a plane or something Put LOTS of planes in the airports too, please. Shamans, if you can. We all like to fly in style ;D Lastly, for now, Drivebys... Make it so if you're doing a driveby or whatever, you cant control the car (turning, accelleration) or something else... Driveby hoes are seriously ... bleh. ;| Link to comment
Slothman
the scenerio you described with boats won't be an issue with MTA: DM (and even if it wasnt solved, you can swim anyways) im not sure what you mean by "sticky" button though, i assume you mean a "glue" feature like discussed a long time ago. as far as vehicle placement goes, thats really up to you because of the map editor. buckets and forklifts and such have already been synced, as you can see in the development screenshots, particularly This one and This one theres been a lot of public discussion about drivebys in the forum and news posts, lets hope the devs takes them into consideration when deciding which way to do it. CoZ
buckets and forklifts and such have already been synced, as you can see in the development screenshots, particularly This one and This one i think rob ment it different .. its already 'synched' .. but it has to do with his 'glue' thing and if you were going to link to a picture..
