hey, i downloaded MTA now. but it doesnt work!!

after i connected a server and click on "start game" this happens!:

please help me! i wanna play MTA!

Make you are running a clean install of Vice City and you have selected the right version in the options tab

Which version of Microsoft Windows are you running? MTA won't work on anything but 2000/XP.

You get a crash at the address 652f30 when starting the game. This is caused by having the incorrect GXT file. To fix this, copy all the gxt files from the Grand Theft Auto Vice City\TEXT folder except the "american.gxt" into the Grand Theft Auto Vice City\MTA folder. You should also ensure you game language is set to english.

Could this be the solution, i could be wrong?

ok, that helped.

but now when i click start game, first comes the R* logo and then black screen. then it close the black screen and im in the MTA 0.5 window again.

- Uninstall MTA - Search for remaining files - Uninstall VC afterwards.

- Install VC - Download v1.1 Patch - Play single player (under new patch) for a few short minutes or seconds.

- Install MTA - Search for any server you wish to play on and make sure all other applications (programs) are closed. examples MSN etc.

I normally repeat this process if i get that same error you are achieving. Mine mostly happens to myself before a clanwar begins for some annoying unexplaination.
