despite working on dm still working on race ?

First off, cant say this enough, TNX mta team - your doing a great job

but i have a small question

despite the excellent work on the dm mode, is there someone working on improving the race mode ?

there are a few tiny things that would make the existing race version so much better

like

- the spectator mode - since there already is a spectatormode on death , i guess its relative easy to make a spectator mode

- the cheaters - i saw a quote from a dev member that "it wasnt hard to fix the current cheaters" - (people use speedhacks and location hacks) will the anticheat get updated ?? - pleeease

-in v1 it was no problem to have a 'checkpoint that changed car on a (hollow) ramp' or 'checkpoint that changed from boat to car exactly on the shoreline' , or even some checkpoints in tunnels and bridges

this WILL get you stuck in v1.1 - and a lot of v1 maps didnt get updated

(k this might be harder to fix , but it annoys me so often)

-v1 maps (of course without timelimit) are defaulted to a ten minute timelimit despite the 25 minute default timelimit ive set on server

that cant be right.... cuz it doesnt happen with v1.1 maps without timelimit

well ill leave this personal top4 , but i imagine there are a few relative easy bugs and improvements ...

basically: did the work on race grind to a halt because of dm ?

though that might not be a bad thing , please consider that there is a huge fanclub out there who will be even greater fans with small gestures like this

Well, there have been plans for another race mod, to fix some vital issues. But the team have a completely filled plate with DM. Even race 1.1 delayed DM a fair bit.

i too think there should be an update to race, but because of the sheer demand for DM and the amount of work required for DM it should be prioritised. i think a DM release will be more worth it.

So yes, race is being delayed because of DM

i was thinking bout some small fixes

but i forgot one thing, even with small fixes its important to test everything again from scratch. so even just a few small fixes will take a hug time respectively ....

Well, there are quite a few fixes that would need to be done for the next race. But with the new fixes comes time taken to track bugs down and fix them...then beta testing of the fixes, then if further bugs arise from the testing those need to be fixed. The whole process will take a few weeks - far too long when DM is a much higher priority
