Catzilla Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I think this is a case of "Client verification failed" problem. Reinstall GTA. It must be unmodded.

Jani Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Car skins aren't changed in handling.cfg, he's probably changed the textures in gta3.img or whatever the file GTASA uses (I know GTA3 and Vice used gta3.img) or he's possibly used a mod installer to do it. Saying you have the original game when you've modded it is a bit stupid since it can be misleading and takes us longer to help. I suggest you completely reinstall the game and DON'T modify it at all. Then install MTASA and it should work.
-GR-P.H.Thunder Posted May 4, 2006 Author Posted May 4, 2006 No i change more files like carcorls and handlig.cfg and carmods enz for the good size of the weels and author things but i reinstal it and have the old files and now its works its a pitty that i have to lost my cool skins but its the online way to play it
Catzilla Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 As far as I know, MTA only checks handling.cfg. So all you had to do, really, was to backup your modded handling.cfg so that you could use it for single player, and put an unmodded one in its place.
w00kie Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 this should go out to more people Had same problem, but couldn't reinstall GTA (DVD got too much scratches). Everybody told me to reinstall or in my case even rebuy the game (or send in DVD), but I just desperately changed HANDLING.cfg and everythings fine now, except some stupid car mods (some modded cars flip over earlier than original ones)
