Guest
Fresh install today, Win XP pro + SP2 + drivers. San Andreas v1.0 MTA 1.1.1 After pressing 'connect' or double clicking a server, it starts loading again (full screen with pics of people, and a loading bar at bottom). Then, just as its about to start, the music fades, screen fades ... then nothing just black and silence, (PC also freezes up and needs rebooting here). When installing MTA I had the missing MSVCP71.dll (I d/led the file then reinstall MTA and it didnt say it again.) Any ideas ? Link to comment

Guest
Had a look on there before, thanks though. I used to have MTA 1.0 and 1.1 and they worked fine. (I had win 2k then not XP). Im sure on 1.0 and 1.1 when you clicked a server, it connected and went straight to the game, not to another GTA:SA loading screen... Im not 100% sure about that tho. Should MTA 1.1.1 goto the SA loading screen after joining a server ? or should it got to the game ? Link to comment
Leviathan
you have to play single player first before starting up MTA... Link to comment
Guest
Nope, still just black screen + freeze up. Single player works ok. But not Mta. Link to comment

It appears when you First join a server or use the editor, after that it doesn't appear. Try updating your video card drivers to the latest version. Link to comment
Guest
Working. All I did is reinstall ATI drivers. Must have forgotten to install them before and thought I had, either way all seems to be ok now. Thanks error404. Link to comment
Guest
It does not freeze when starting anymore. Does freeze after about 5 - 30 mins of playing. Mainly when a new race starts. Im not sure that it is MTA the problem, I think it might be something else as single player froze up when I got into a police car. Will do some more testing. Link to comment
Guest
Definately a San Andreas prob and not MTA. Game freezes up when I get into a new car, not every time, but after about 3 or 4 changes of car, it freezes up and a continuos 'beep' (car horn) sound on the speakers. Ive seen other people with this bug, but not found a way round it yet. Link to comment
