ahjteam Posted June 1, 2003 Posted June 1, 2003 I dont want to sound like a b*tch but the manual had awful lot of typos, so I read it thru couple of times and fixed all the typos, here is the fixed version (RTF format, convert to whatever you want). The layout is screwed up but the content should be 98% correct now, but there still might be some typos. enjoy http://ahjteam.com/files/GTA3MTA_doc_ahjteam.rtf - AHJ
xerox Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 yes there were typos. And if you were overly anal retentive they would bug you =P But considering you went to the effort to correct them I can't really complain =)
petebog Posted June 2, 2003 Posted June 2, 2003 You don't need to be anally retententive to be bugged by a manual with that many mistakes! I would have done it myself but I'm too lazy. I'd assumed you had no native English speakers on the team but the news page does now seem to be much improved. I also don't wish to sound like a b*tch but you shouldn't underestimate how important good English is in presenting a professional appearance for your project.

ahjteam Posted June 2, 2003 Author Posted June 2, 2003 I noticed another typo, but it was my mistake. port are automatically be filled in -> no "be".
ahjteam Posted June 3, 2003 Author Posted June 3, 2003 Oh yeah, I forgot: the team gets my permission to use the fixed version, I take no credit for it, but meantioning me would be nice - AHJ edit: the files was updated today
ahjteam Posted July 26, 2003 Author Posted July 26, 2003 I didnt find the manual in the download list so here it is again
Guest Posted August 4, 2003 Posted August 4, 2003 Haha, I'm just like you, I'm always picky about this stuff, like the u's and ur's on on this page instead of you and your Don't know why that stuff gets to me, but it does Anyways, you did a nice job, especially considering English isn't your first language. I made a few changes (in green) just fixing up a few capitalizations, extra spaces, some tense inconsistencies, and a few spelling corrections here: http://www.modzone.net/firestorm225/mtamanual.rtf BTW, great mod, it's nice to know that there is progress being made on the GTA multiplayer front Always nice to see people take out their free time to make everyone happy
