Ryan_
Game-Host.com hosts multiple servers from the same ip address, but using different ports. I have been trying to set up a private server to go beside my public server, but it wont seen to work. Ill continue trying, but if someone could help me out it would be great. question is, im on XP, their probable on linux etc.... can it be done in XP? Thanks for your time. Link to comment
Jani
Just change the gameport and adminport and it will work fine. You can't have more than one program listening on a port at the same time. Link to comment
Ryan_
Thank u for confirming it would work. I now have the servers up and running. But it seems i cant get remote admin to work on both servers, it will only work with my original server... Again, thanks for ur time. Link to comment
Jani
When connecting to the remote admin on the other server, make sure you specify the right port. Link to comment
Ryan_
well, remote admins r on the same pc as servers, ports r correct, only 1 connects, other times out Link to comment
Leviathan
maybe you can only use the r admin, once at a time... in that case, try using r admin for 1 server and irc admin for the other server, the irc script can be found somewhere in the scripting subforum.... Link to comment
Ryan_
indeed... can i chat from the server window? what commands are available within the server itself? typing help shows me commands specified for rcon admin. kick command works in server, however it seems i can not chat from the server. im talking about the server itself, not remote admin, or rcon admin. but the server window. Thanks for ur help. Link to comment
Leviathan
that's an easy one... just type say in front of it. say hello ADMINCHAT: Console: hello Link to comment
