Guest
Well i decided i would try at a canyon based map, which used alot of the terrain peices from las venturas and the area within. I put this together in the last few days, i am still learning alot of new techniques to build better terrain, although it comes at a price since i have to put alot of meshes between eachother to acheive the right effect. I am pretty pleased overall with how it turned out, the race itself is pretty tough and the checkpoints are setup nicely for large races (largest checkpoint sizes). I have also color coded the checkpoints so people can better follow them. 36 spawners, 35 checkpoints. Here is the pics, download is at the site as usual. http://center.mtasa.com/?p=race&r=1006 Link to comment
Maccer
everything looks well aligned at a first glance, thats a big plus in my opinion. not like other maps floating around (*cough*blow the dam *cough*) ^^ Link to comment
zerb
That map looks interesting, looks challenging with the hills, rocks etc. Link to comment

Maccer
@Ransom well it may be ment to be that way but it looks not so good: the first tunnel has no archway infront of it so the walls of the tunnels look thinny, same goes for following tunnels, they have nothing under them so they look like they have "paper-thin" floor. basically you can see too much areas you "shouldnt" see, there are much worse maps around i just recalled that as example because it was the first map that came into my mind. (maybe unaligned is not even the right word here, its more visual flaws) Link to comment
Ransom
Oh okay I thought you meant actual course workings, rather than cosmetics. No I'm not usually a cosmetics guy I care more about fun. There are limits though and I did shape it up to look smooth (unlike sexpit ) There are some parts that look out of place but I had to put them there because many people would screw up and fall off at beginning. If you want to see ones I tried to make pretty, here they are: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=15323 Link to comment
