Guest Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 why cant mta sync peds and cars and stuff like in GoE GTA3 multiplayer? i mean that was a while back and you cant do it now??
Kent747 Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 they werent synced then.. the peds and vehicles you saw weren't necessarily on the other persons screen. Kent Simon's Amazing Cross Language Hello World Program!! #include #define print printf#define caller void main(){#define ref }caller ;print ("Hello World!\n");ref;
darkdreamingdan Posted January 23, 2006 Posted January 23, 2006 (edited) GoE GTA3 multiplayer did not have synced pedestrians and cars and "stuff". It was all desynced. Since GGM never had weapon sync it was never really required to be synced. THis IS possible with blue once the SDK is released - however it''d take up a lot of bandwidth. Aeron Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Let's say pedestrian AND object infomation is about 30 bytes (8 bits), and let's say between a radius of 50 units of a player you got 40 pedestrians walking around AND about 10 DYNAMIC objects interfering with the pedestrians, to get perfect syncing you need to refresh each object about 20 times per seconds, with 32 players this would be the server bandwith of the server in bps 30*8*(40+10)*20*32 = 7680000 bps = 7680 kbps. = 7,680 mbps I dont think 56k-ers will be happy with it...
