Guest
You know I'm a noob with this question. I installed GTA3 and then MTA and tried running it with no luck. Then I ran GTA 3 solo with no luck. It goes through the main intro screens and then crashes. So I'm pissed off, because I'd love to try this out. So I check your guy's board and it says I should run GTA 3 at least once. So I've uninstalled both. My question is , did I screw up? Can I now no longer play both or is there still a chance I might be able to play. Also another thing I'm worried about is that when (and if) I reinstall or even before I pull that not-run GTA before that the program won't work. Can you guys help me or am I a total moron and ruined any chance to play MTA? Also how do I start a GTA 3 server? I see VC's but not GTA3. What's up with that? Hopes this helps. Apreciate it, thanks. Change the config server settings to one of the GTA3 islands then if you want to go further start or run a script to go with the server for more fun and options. Link to comment
Guest
U need to update te .exe to version 1.1 I don't believe this. I reinstalled GTA3 and put the patch on and tried running it on solo. After the two screen it still doesn't work. And then it says the program isn't responding. What the fuck? Maybe this was just a lost cause... Link to comment

Which probably means I can't access the mod itself. Firewall I can understand, how can an anti virus stop a server? Let, let me guess. It assumes the file in question can be considered a threat.... Si|ent
MTA doesnt alter your single player game at all. Try deleting the gta3.set in /my documents/grand theft auto three user files/ (or somesuch folder name) this is a small file that stores hardware details specific to your machine, video card, sound card etc. Deleting it means gta3 wcan check, and configure itself for the above once more. (when next run.) Link to comment
