MTA Team jhxp Posted October 11, 2005 MTA Team Posted October 11, 2005 got the same.. strange Use The All Seeing Eye then
zerb Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 me 2 JXHP wtf is that If your asking what the all-seeing eye is, its a game server browser for many online games including MTA, you can download it of the MTA cilent.
[UVA]BuLLiT Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 how i was i meant 2 kno ive never used it just seen now on the client no need 4 the rolling eyes
zerb Posted October 11, 2005 Posted October 11, 2005 It is probably recommended, the ASE is quite useful instead of finding random servers of the MTA Cilent.
MTA Team Blokker_1999 Posted October 12, 2005 MTA Team Posted October 12, 2005 What happend? When MTA fist started using the in-client server browser we received permission from udpsoft and they send us the required librarys. since then Yahoo has acquired ASE and udpsoft no longer excists. Today the udpsoft domain expired unfortunatly for us the library from ASE sends it's query to a subdomain of udpsoft.com instead of an IP. Therefore the serverbrowser does not function anymore. Simplest solution: open the following file in notepad: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts at the bottom add the line 68.142.232.33 master.udpsoft.com

Slothman Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 go look to see if your hosts file has reverted, or if that line is still there
