Ghost_of_sanand
You should build in a massive, and when i say massive i mean a divinci code massive mystery to keep people playing longer. now what i mean is that theres like a story line, not like cutscene or a huge massive storyline, just a base storyline and a bunch of clues to work around. heres an example: john smith was murdered at 15:16 game time at his summer home in the badlands. there were bloody footprints found at the crimescene, and a ransom note left next to his body. now its up to you to solve the mystery and find out who killed john smith. now you can explore his home, try to find evidance, and follow the clues to find out who killed him. you could hide a couple of different clues and riddles(extremely hard ones)in each different server to keep the excitement. now this is not a must do thing, but after you get bored, it is something to do. now you need a motive. the modivation to try to solve this mystery is that the person who solves it gets the most-bestest-ultimate-one-of-a-kind prize that you could ever get, and the person that figures it out's clan(if their in a clan) will get a really cool prize, just one thats to a lesser extent, and that no one els can ever get. but keep in mind this is just something that you could do in your spare time, or you could devote all of your time to it. your choice i would appreciate all constructive critiscm Link to comment
darkdreamingdan
this is an okay idea, but your forgetting many things. to develop this kind of mode, you would have to develop LOADS of original crime scenes, with their own ways of solving it, and even then a regular player will get bored because they've seen it before. there is the possibility of creating a random creation in which the game does it, but you would have to be very smart to develop one of those Link to comment

Guardians Proper
Does the MTA team have the capacity to create a "massive" mystery? Usually it takes entire game developing teams a few months to conceive one of those. Link to comment
eAi
This is certainly an interesting idea. As the previous posted pointed out, we don't really have the time. We spend a lot of time on MTA - almost full time in some cases, but thats just doing the basic developing. That said, with the releases now based on 'blue', we've been able to spend much more time playing around with ideas - seeing what works, what doesn't and what we might want to spend more time looking into later. This has been great, but the problem is, we get hundreds of ideas and say "we'll put that in release 2". At some point we're going to sit down and decide what release 2 will have that release 1 doesn't - we'll probably outline the result of this on the blog. Either way, ideas like this could certainly be done with the SDK, when we get around to releasing it... Link to comment

rockstarrem
Ok: This was a great idea. The thing you said about the cop wit hthe camera was cool. Hypotheticcaly let's say the MTA Team was making this mod. Have you ever noticed the security guard standing by the water near the bridge from Los Santos and The Country? Well that's one thing they could do. He doesn't spawn all the time but he does spawn. I noticed this on the PC version of San Andreas. rockstarrem Link to comment
