GTA Vice city: Can't see anything

Hey, I just installed Vice city on my laptop. I cannot see anything, it's all dark. When I Alt-tab out of the game, I can catch a glimpse of the menu, and thats it. When I start a new game (It's easy, top option all menus) I Still can't see the video. Specs are:

1gig ram

ATI Mobility Radeon X300 128mb

XP home

Pentium M 1.6 ghz

Any clue whats wrong?

laptop seems to be ok, hmm update ATI drivers and if that won't work install the Vice city 1.1 patch

Yea, I just noticed the mobility radeons are different. However, they only have support for the x700 and x800 Mobility Radeons. Dunno man.

I had problems with the latest Nvidia drivers in recognising my laptop's graphics chip so I downloaded a modified driver set and it worked fine. Try http://www.guru3d.com

The only thing I can say is laptops aren't the best for pc gaming. You should get a desktop and use a normal ATi graphic card instead of that mobility crap. They used to have mobility drivers on the front page but I just noticed that's been replaced with a Windows Vista beta driver. I hope WinXP driver support doesn't get crappy when Vista comes out because I love XP and don't plan on changing.

I'll try the Modified drivers. I know laptops aren't the best, I have a desktop pc. Im just putting stuff on here for when i take my laptop somewhere and i get bored
