Guest
I was wondering if the casinos are going be usable in the MTA:SA? That way players can play each other on the blackjack, or play along side each other in the others. It would be a really nice, but small, implement into the MTA:SA. Only problem is i guess when you win a shit load of money then disconnect from the server and then reconnect... it'll be all gone Link to comment

robbiemcm
Hey, I have this wicked idea!!! Download an online gambling program!!! This is like implementing voice chat into MTA:SA Link to comment
DominionSpy
This is like implementing voice chat into MTA:SA No it's not - voice chat isn't in the single player game, whereas gambling at a casino is, so it is not like he is talking about implementing a brand new feature now is it? Link to comment
Subwoofer
Should, should,... do this, do that, i think you guys should stop suggesting these little things... They're not important enough, i don't see these black jack tables beeing used by players, i only see people fighting in casino's, even rpg is fucked up, so why wouldn't it be in Sa... The mta team have a hard time as it is now, how long has it been since Sa came out... All we have seen is some screenshots, i think we can post some suggestions after Blue comes out. And that could take a while i guess Link to comment

All we have seen is some screenshots, i think we can post some suggestions after Blue comes out. And that could take a while i guess The reason for making these suggestions is for those who are willing to make mods to get ideas with what can be done. By making suggestions, I doubt we are making it any 'harder' for the MTA team as they don't plan on doing any mods for us, as far as I have read. They are doing what they said they would, building a new core and, with such, comes a higher ability to make modifications. These modifications would have to be made by us, and as such we need to think of what are good and bad ideas. The sooner, the better. On the topic of the casino... I had tons of fun with the blackjack table in singleplayer. With the right mod, it could be worked out so people could gather in casinos and play. I'm guessing it wouldn't be hard to restrict people from killing others in a casino. (Like a stunt server for MTA: VC). The punches would have to do no damage and something would have to happen to the guns to make them disappear. Whether the modder wants to totally make the weapons disappear or give them back to the owner is up to them and their coding ability/what they are limited to. Link to comment
Subwoofer
I still don't see why people wouldn't try to kill each other, instead of playing at the tables. If you make "weapon-free" servers the server will be empty itself, only stunt, but that's a whole different genre... Anyways, it could be something for rpg, but like i said, first wait for blue and then make shit like this, all we can do now is dream and imagine how it would look. Greetz Link to comment

I didn't say make the whole server weapons-free. Just the casino area itself. I believe there could be such a mod for blue. Link to comment

They are actually releasing mods. If they don't, you'll have to sit around after the release waiting for someone to create a gamemode so that you can actually play the game. There are no "built-in" gamemodes, just mods that ship with it. Link to comment
Selzi
Okay... I was wrong. But then we're still not making it any harder for them by suggesting ideas, right? Link to comment
eAi
You're welcome to suggest and discuss things. At the moment we're fairly clear what feature set we intend to have initially - I don't think this will include the side games, but although they're not anywhere near the top of our todo list, they certainly haven't been ruled out. I meant in the fact that they exist outside of the game and if you want to use them, you can just use the programs that have been designed for them rather than people making stupid mods where u stand around playing cards. If you want to be really picky (you seem to) the fact that one is a way to gamble online and the other is a way to talk online makes them completely different aswell. Oh, and I suppose they're probably made by different people aswell. Link to comment

Well then should we tell people to go play America's Army if they want to shoot at people online since it was designed for that and GTA:SA wasn't? If you want to be really picky (you seem to) the fact that one is a way to gamble online and the other is a way to talk online makes them completely different aswell. Oh, and I suppose they're probably made by different people aswell. I'm not being picky, you are. You obviously made a quick off-hand comment that you didn't think about and now you are trying to defend it. If you don't like this idea, just say that and maybe give some constructive criticism. ArmedAndDangerous
Idea: A server side thing that saves information on players who come on a server, including money, stats and xp. Link to comment
orappa
Idea: A server side thing that saves information on players who come on a server, including money, stats and xp. This has been discussed before and the problem was that you'd be tied to a specific server because you wouldn't want to lose your stats. On the other hand, you could easily cheat if the stats were stored on your machine. Link to comment
Gamefreek
Most people are already tied to a specific server because they want to keep there stats.. Link to comment

Gamefreek
Thats only if the server runs GRS, but Partyserver (popular US server) doesnt run it. So a lot of people just stay there. Link to comment
