Dear MTA Support Team,
I would like to formally request that you consider adding official support for Linux-based operating systems, including Ubuntu and other Debian-based distributions.
It would be greatly appreciated if MTA could be installed and played on Linux systems, either through compatibility solutions such as Valve's Proton or, preferably, through a native Linux launcher and client.
There are several important benefits to supporting Linux:
1. Improved Cybersecurity and User Privacy
Linux provides a robust security architecture, advanced permission management, and greater control over system processes. Supporting Linux would give players an alternative platform with different security advantages, potentially reducing their exposure to certain types of malware and cyber threats. It would also allow users to maintain greater control over their operating system and personal data.
2. Expanding the MTA Player Community
Linux compatibility would make the game accessible to a wider audience, attracting players who prefer Linux over Windows. This could help grow the MTA community and increase the game's overall accessibility.
3. Greater Operating System Freedom
Players should have the freedom to choose their preferred operating system without being restricted from enjoying their favorite games. Linux support would allow users to enjoy MTA without needing to install or depend on Windows.
4. Supporting the Linux Gaming Ecosystem
Linux gaming has continued to develop, especially with the introduction and improvement of compatibility technologies such as Proton. Supporting Linux would be a positive step toward keeping MTA compatible with the evolving PC gaming ecosystem.
I believe that adding Linux support would be a valuable improvement for MTA, benefiting both existing players and potential new members of the community.
I kindly ask the MTA team to consider this request and explore the possibility of implementing official Linux support.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
An MTA Player
