Well after i reformatting my computer i thought this would solve everything but it hasn't. Everytime i crash or shoot at other players my game chops up for a sec making it unplayable. I copied the same game version over to a 7yr old compaq brand computer and it runs perfect. Please help, this is my favorite game and it bugs me so much that i can't play it
.Go to sounds options and change Audio Hardware to something else. Try setting it to different things and see if one of them solves the problem. I had this problem before and this is how I solved it.

Make sure it's a fresh VC install and you don't have any other mods besides MTA.

If you're talking about MTA:Race then that's not possible, but with the upcoming DM version it will be possible through scripting.

They've refused this idea a long time ago, and I don't think it would realistically help with development of the mod. It's nice to see people who are willing to pay though.

Make sure you don't have any modifications installed other than MTA. MTA requires a clean install of the game to run properly.

hmm well i have already started planning a server, which once it is released will be instantly on the server list. i hope i can be invited to the semi-public release, so i can try out the stuff. how can we make maps for the server once it starts?
I donno if the map editor will be available to you in the beta tests, so you probably won't be able to.
can we hear a little bit more about the remaining issues or is it still under wraps.It's mainly gameplay bugs and crashes, but the crashes are getting solved pretty quickly now thanks to our recent tests.

Maybe you didn't fully remove them. Uninstall everything, install SA, install MTA, and try it. MTA requires no game-altering mods to be installed.

It has become apparent that many of the requested features will be readily implementable via Lua, and this is a good thing. Of these features, however, there are probably a number of scripts that would benefit the majority. That is to say that these scripts are probably best packaged with the game so that everyone doesn't have to go to the trouble of downloading them.
I propose that during the beta, if a script is determined to be something that lots of people use, it be added to the final DM server release, and that they be enabled by default. If the server admin decides they do not want them, they would be easy to remove.
If this is not acceptable, then at least an additional official package of recommended scripts would be nice to have.
There will be an official game mode pack that will come with the server, just as there was an official race map pack with the Race release.
I have a different question about game-modes and scripts. Will MTA:DM use something similar to samp for their modes? What i mean is specify a certain game-mode script/map, and then a seperate place to specify filterscripts (as samp calls them) being scripts that can be used in any game-mode independently (ex: admin commands, RP actions, etc...)You can run any number of scripts at the same time, so yes.
There will already be a ton of pre-made scripts. As a matter of fact, the Team is currently making them now as we speak. That is all were waiting for really...That isn't true. The MTA team isn't making any scripts, the QA team is. The release depends upon the state of the mod itself, not on the scripts. If the mod was finished and there were no completed scripts, it would probably just release without them.

I got the impression that due to the anti-cheat code, getting MTA DM to work on Linux (via WINE) would be next to impossible. This is pure speculation, but I believe that if it were possible to disable anti-cheat, DM would work fine in WINE.
You don't know anything about DM's anti-cheat though.

The trailer looks great, I loved the AK scene and the scene before that might be an indication that he changes facial expressions based on his mood. Graphics look great too.

Many features were pushed back to the second release, so there is no shortage of things to do, but who knows what will really happen after release.

Are you confusing MTA 0.5 with MTA:SA? MTA 0.5 is for VC and GTA3 only.

Does it happen in single player or in any other games?
Can you exit the game and get to your desktop screen after it goes black? (By typing /quit or using ctrl+alt+del.)
Try downloading the latest video card drivers and see if that helps.

Well, the point of MTA has been to provide multiplayer to a game that doesn't have any, not to improve on an existing multiplayer. I don't think too many devs will be up for that.
