Haha yea don't get me started on Ventrilo, tried it for about 10 mins then went straight back to Teamspeak. Those poor Ventrilo saps don't know what they're missing out on (and yea they're poor since they have to pay for their server ) *giggles* I do know exactly what I'm missing out on by not using Teamspeak, and that's shitty voice quality =P.

Now this is a MTA gang, but that's not really what the topic is about, tell me who's actually wrong then? This is the 3th non-gang topic in 2 weeks, the only new topics that appear here are whine topics about lame gangs, or their cheat0r members, is that really where this forum exists for? He should've just get in touch with the ~UL~ guys, instead of posting this thread, if he can't, well.. bad luck, he could always tell his MTA friends on MSN how lame and gay these UL guys are and they should just totally ignore ~UL~... You really want people to post topics here, which include; "z0mg, these clan r teh hax0rs" "oh noes! hax0r is a cheat0r!" "This clan is so lame for stealing our scripts" "These noobies are admin abusers, lol, don't visit their server" "Boo, they stole our site and forum" I mean, I could've posted hundreds of such threads during the years I'm playing this mod, as well as others, would you really like to see that? I certainly don't... Ahem, a decent try at trying to interpret the rules in such a fashion that it supports your post. However, you've made a few major flaws: You never actually supported anywhere that you read the first post, but that you automatically assumed it was a gang creation topic because this is a forum which should only contain MTA Gang creation topics. A flawed view, as I may point out, recruitment and news. This here would be "news" and not once does it state in that clause that it has to be about your own gang. Again, you rant about non-gang topics and how they have no place in this forum. This still doesn't support that you actually read the first post, which you would've discovered would fit under your description of a post that does not belong to this forum. Instead, you replied with "Good Luck" which seemingly makes no sense at all. If you hate these kind of topics, why you would reply with "Good Luck" is beyond me. The only reason I see for posting "Good Luck" would be that you didn't read the first forum post. I'd also love to see a place where I could get all the "MTA gang drama" scene. It's actually quite a good read at times, and it keeps me up to date on what gangs did what stupid shit and why I should go bother them about it. Finnally, you know, I could've made just as many of those "unfit posts" you. I play MTA quite often, I've played every version, and I've been around a damned long time kickin it in with the old school guys, all of which can't drive ;D. now, I'd go on the main topic here, but I see that's kind of useless considering it's broken down into whine back and forth between the two. Had to wade water just to make this post =/. continue on XE and UL =P. (P.S. make a strong note on THAT clause, THAT clause alone.)
-
well gentleman, I do so believe we have ourselves a laughing stock holy christ, would any of you bastards read the first post? is that so damned difficult? In reference to the actual topic: I could probaly go on here a bit and rant out of personal experience, but I won't bother. Maybe short and to the point will get some bastards to actually read my post. Plagerism bad and it's pretty sad when you jack something that isn't yours and slap your name on it. Why in bloody hell you'd need to change the names I really don't understand. Does it matter to you people that much who the fuck the script is made by? Don't you people have an ounce of respect in you? Damned idiocy is murdering this community day after day. Why the hell can't people respect those who deserve it? And learn to do it by them-fucking-selves. Congratulations UL, *head shake* PS: Tommis -> Change the topic to something more to the effect of "A note about UL" or the sort.

ROFL OMFG that's ttthe funniest thign i've heard all year. and ps. why not make this a world entry event? i know that screws the title up but comeon, wouldn't we rather make this like the olympics??? i can surely gather an american crew to join in on the fun... rofl at Bump, *head shake* and yar, I bet a Canadian team could be gathered too without issue =p

Not a large surprise from Skug, really. SGB just happens to be one of those clans who not only disgraces the name of a great player but happens to support immature action (modding, pausing, cheating). Best way? Don't bother with them, don't goto there server, and make damn sure everyone knows what the true side of SGB is, assuming they don't see it for themselves. and someone get Aeron the IP =p

Yeah, the prevention's real good when it's set to be even lower then before, right? Glitching? There's been this large argument about switching for ages. I personally prefer jumping to switching but can do both (and do them well) but do not care to claim that switching is glitching. Like many have said, it's in the game. Anyways, switchers are generally easier to hit anyways . I know of trx's mistake. The only thing I find questionable is why he changed it to be lower then before and that this change made it to release. It's a simple fix that could've been, but never was, made. I used the tagline of being reinforced by 0.5 because it's the simple way too say that in 0.5, switching has been deemed legitimate. This declaration wasn't by the MTA team, it's by the majority of the community. And Junx? no one cares about ye ^-^ -

Let me break something to you MACK, you're in no need of an apology. It has been made quite obvious that your suspicious of Crack. I watched your movie, it's nothing spectacular or incriminating. First, let's examine that "wall glitch" by shooting through rather wide openings in the ground. If you were able to get the right angle on Crack, you'd be able to return fire and hit him. The issue isn't with shooting through walls like you claim, it's simply knowing where to return fire. I just might remind you that wall glitching is sticking your gun through an object that wouldn't originally allow bullets to go through it and firing at objects past it. There's a nice gap in the video which would allow bullets to be fired either way assuming you missed the invisible plank from below. As for Crack's switching, he's one of the few people I see now that actually know what running after shooting is. I see his reload quite commonly throughout the video. A combination of any sort of ping delay will alter how quickly the character will actually catch up to the current location of the person, which is, of course, always changing. Faster then normal? Not in my book. I hope this doesn't turn into a "switching is glitching" argument. Dirty tricks? I see none. It was reinforced by the release of 0.5 that switching was entirely appropiate. The only dirty trick I see here is to degrade PCP's and Crack's integrity as a whole by publishing non-incriminating videos with incriminating descriptions of events. Careful of who you describe to be using dirty tricks, MACK. -
I do believe we went over this before, of course Canada would win there's me, SGB, Dross, Chief.. as for CE being the best Canada gang? err.. no. =P FKU? pff, ;D, www.

[MOD]GTATournament: online Multiplayer (GTA San Andreas)
[4D]Prontera replied to Toreno's topic in Other GTA Mods
People going too far from you they vanish: This is er, done on purpose, it's an excellent way to save on network traffic as you're only getting updates from people that are actually in your area. (Draco said he's working on syncing markers for the map) Spawning cars through chat is the only way to use cars really, as in the ones that are spawned are the only ones the servers sync. Other cars are BF400, Picador, etc (it's all on the website, you know ) Happens with bad server info, believe me, the hells of PW + non-default PW are overwhelming =( I played for maybe a half hour today, it's alright, could use a hell load of fixes still (the steam read error, etc) but overall, nice to see some sort of client available for those truely desperate ones =P -
aye, no problem, I'll explain while speeds vary depending on each person, when someone is hit, health is deducted. You realize that the M60 hits for 15 damage (or whatever it is) so that technically, 1.5 bars come off, right? When R33D gets hit in the video, he gets 4 bars taken off in a single shot instanteously. Therefore, he's taking 40~ damage from an M60, that's all. I asked Dome to help me shoot him to get more footage quicker.
-
I saw this one coming. Play the movie frame by frame, you will see that when R33DH4M gets hit, he goes down 4 bars all at once, as in, it goes from 10 to 6, nothing in between. If you're normally shooting someone with an M60 or M4, they will go down bar by bar. As for Dome? I just watched the 800x600 version watching Dome's health the entire time. In two clips he actually gets hit, twice by stubby, so no suprise for damage, and twice in a row by a Python, causing him to die. The python does a large amount of damage per hit, so it's no suprise he drops quickly.
-
the chances of this being a "move" are practically very slim to none, because with a "move," he wouldn't have default damage with the M60. Face it, he's running a different weapon.dat, and in all cases, that's modding or cheating in one way or another. edit: just to include thanks Outlaw and Kenny, Schark, I'm not here to accuse KFC of all being cheaters, it's somewhat understandable that this slipped through the cracks and stayed unnoticed.
-
I consider option B highly unlikely. While I personally do not know the technicalities behind the death messages, you can see me killing him with an M60 in one or two of the videos. I figure it likely that when a player dies, how he/she died is someway detected and trasnmitted to the server. I figure it detects that a user has been shot by someone with an M60 and they die, it will transmit such. The same would be for python. Evidence to support such would be when your weapons desync, you can get kills with "Punch/kick."
-
that's right, it's me again, poor R33D ^-^ I seem to the bearer of bad news every where I go, but I can't tell if that's because I'm an asshole about it or not. Let's jump into some details. Last week, maybe two weeks ago, I'm not counting, I caught DJMills using a "modified" weapon.dat via the fact that he took 43 damage a hit from an M60 while in 0.5, it only does 15 damage a hit. After admitting to that he was infact cheating, VCES had him removed. (Read the full post here: http://bb.vces.net/index.php?showtopic=1419&st=0) The relevance? Twas a night long ago (last night, actually) that I was playing MTA 0.5 on the partyserver (what a hellish place D=) when I encountered good ol [KFC]R33DH4M. After disconnecting, I reconnected later to see a nice Mexican spawn war going on, something different, finnally. Joining into the fight, it caught me as no suprise to see R33DH4M there with a stubby being a pain in the arse as normal =P. What I became shocked to see that, when blasting him with an M60, he dropped 4 bars a hit. Laughing to myself, I realized he made the same mistake DJMills did, and now, I have another Prontera™ lame video production on him doing it. http://www.ulkgang.com/R33DH4MSmall.rar ^^ thanks to Zircon for hosting so kindly as it would seem hosting is a tough find when no ones server works. Video uses Xvid MPEG4 codec, found at http://www.xvid.org (If you don't get an executable installer, extract contents to windows/system32) Realize that I do slow down the footage and pay close attention to the health bar drops. In a normal M4 fight, you will see the health bar go down bar by bar, however, this should be the case with the M60 now too. This isn't the case, though. As blatantly obvious as it is to me, it may not be to anyone else. Before I hear "desync" or "lag" comments, realize that the video I have of DJMills (now offline) was taken on a server where my ping was double. I find it humourous that R33DH4M's mad walking+shooting glitch may not be a glitch at all, but rather a weapon.dat mod, as originally expected. This was noted by many people, but KFC jumped to his defense. The evidence here is a little conclusive, as Oli would say, and I figure the evidence proves enough. I wasn't able to get spectator footage because 0.5 spectator + fraps = hate but I don't figure it is neccessary anyways. so, can someone explain to me how r33dh4m accomplishes being hit for so much by an M60?
-
I still don't believe you =P
-
I'd be able to take down Zircon with ease in 0.5, remember, he can't play it ;P where's jeHAD been anyways? D; on the end, we should just claim that ULK is a country and play for it =P
-
me and SGB could play for Canada, so we'd definetly win, no doubt. ;D note to self: read the posts Pront, read the posts.
-
good days! yarhar
-
Even if this were true, judging from my experience's with this team, I'd say the approximate beta date is an absolute minimum of 4 years later, with an entire half week of beta testing only 2/3's of the game.. (sound familiar?) =P
-
Time to begin, siogh ;p I believe the only other weapon they nerfed power on aside from the stubby is the M60, which is another idiotic balancing move in my humble opinion. The spaz on the otherhand wasn't actually as glitchy compared to it's overpowered self. It's the only gun that was "more powerful" then the stubby, within viable range and attributes, although the stubby's mobility could be used to overtake many spaz users. As for removing the gun, I'm up all up for grabs on removing the stubby, it would completely alter gameplay. Remove the cop shotgun and we're looking at hellish different gameplay because the shotguns in general are some of the most commonly used weapons aside from the, as you said, glitchy grenades/molotovs. Removing the stubby's glitches would only impede the "look at me I'm super fast and super powered with my stubby" style of combat, which is extremely common as from what I've seen. I don't think the game would "suck" in any means, it would however mean that you'd need to change your gameplay and think a little more then just running up as fast as you can to an opponent and blasting them with your shotgun. Neutering the stubby would decrease it's usage severely. Sure, in CQB it might be an "ok" weapon to utilize depending on your skill with aiming it because you would most likely need to make all your shots count. I doubt it would be nearly as damaging to gameplay as it is now. If you'd like the stubby, sure, I'm all up for grabs on that one, as long as it's gone or fixed I'm dandy well. Sorry, I disagree head =(, at the current state of the software and the original gameplay, this game is not fit for multiplayer. As I mentioned, the original game was not made for multiplayer, so formidable multiplayer balancing was never done to the game. As for the nade glitch, meh, I did mention it before but it seems there isn't anything they could do to fix it at this time, presuming they attempted. The mexican is the dumbest thing I've ever seen, after 0.2.2, the mexican was useless. The decreased ammo supply and the lack-there-of mollies made the class virtually useless upon spawning. M60 ammo is rarely found so you're SOL once you use that precious 3/4's of a clip. The M4 is an extremely effective weapon also like the M60 in it's old state, end of story. As for game play balancing, I don't know if these were mistakes or they weren't play tested with the correct people if at all, but I'm betting that it's only the latter and not the former. I disagree with it being complaining, I figure I'm debating a good topic which has a seriously effect on gameplay which I hope will be read by the MTA team. Wether or not I spawned another class and I stay away from the robber spawn doesn't mean that I won't run into one of the most powerful weapons in the game. This gun has serious issues as have been posted, and ignoring these and posting that they should simply be avoided is ignorance. There's a problem with the gameplay, the stubby is utilized by everyone and there's no weapon to match it, in it's current state or it's old state. I hope the MTA team reads this topic as there's opinions from actual day-to-day MTA players who have been out there and seen what they need to see to form a good opinion. The switching isn't that useful in SP. The difference being that the AI actually has a much better ability to hit you then an MTA player thanks to latency etc. Warping making yourself much harder to hit, getting an instant second shot, and in general messing up gameplay isn't an abusive glitch? (For more reference, see Zircon's post) er. I've played in gangwars with and without mollies/nades, and while I've seen what I think is glitching, I've seen great gameplay where they are not abused. However, in their current state, they probaly should be removed. EDIT: just as I stated, Kung is all "liek omg, they just want their jump glitch back 11" and when in reality, we're pushing to have a glitch, which Kung utilizes no less, removed. That or of course, the stubby removed. Who's been going "fuck switch bring jump" back all their posts. As stated in a footnote by myself, I want it to be a switch after the animation has completed in full with no crouching or jumping the switch break animation to be extended to prevent a warp (61, +5 over the 56 for the end of the animation for the stubby. BTW, this would be good to have with other guns also for the time being) or removed. As for the lag complaints, sorry, those don't apply to the majority posting (myself included) and this is MTA, lag is part of the game.
-
I played 0.4.1 if you don't realize, and I understand quite fully that you think it's fine but I disagree. There are glitches with jumping which you obviously don't realize and nor will I explain here. I see that you are rooting for jumping to be left in instead of crouch, however, this still makes you extremely mobile with the stubby shotgun which is what I have a problem with. The mobility makes the gun extremely powerful, more powerful then any other practical weapon. (If you're not stupid, you can pretty well get within range of anyone with long ranged easily.) Not to mention the stubbys knock down, wide spread and damage per shot coupled with the mobility is its cause of extreme damage. Many people agree that jumping has it's glitches though not nearly as dangerous as crouching/switching though still dangerous. The mobility is the most dangerous point of the stubby I believe. I doubt the devs intend that the game be about a single class when the entire city is open. If they intended the game to be about a single class, then we would have large arena fights with an automatic robber spawn. As mentioned, other guns are disadvantged thanks to the stubby's mobility. It can deal a great amount of damage with a minimal amount of damage taken. (Please note I'm pretty grammatically off in this post, I apoligize but I'm rushing off to another game)
-
The problem comes up that is it's not the game itself but MTA modifying it's memory and mission script. In the actual game you don't warp while switching and get a free second shot or desync and move+shooting while jumping and it's easier to hit people etc. Thus, I'd figure that the MTA team wants to fix these "glitches" and want to balance the game so that it is more playable and not a huge robber spawn war because there's nothing nearly as effective as the stubby. As I said, the stubby is extremely unbalanced at default and has huge advantages over other players in MTA. If they seem even to you, you sir don't play the other characters enough or abuse other ingame glitches to give yourself advantages. Most guns in comparison to the stubby are disadvantaged. All guns are not being changed to act the same but to be balanced with each other so that each situation can't be solved with the usage of a single weapon, the stubby. As for the warping comment, this is true and my suggestion (for the time being until a fix can be made which I'd figure is extremely difficult) would be to increase the switch time roughly 5 intervals past the end of the animation so that the animation can end on other peoples screens (with a reasonable fps) EDIT: BTW, I'm not pushing to have jumping enabled which I keep reading from Kung a lot, I'm pushing to have everything removed from the stubby (crouch jump and switch) as I figure this will be more balanced then what it has been.
