FYI, the problem was 'Grand Theft Auto SA.exe' should have been called 'gta_sa.exe'

Try running outside of Steam. If that doesn't help, and you get the 'Optimus confusing options' menu when you start MTA, try each option in turn.

GTA:SA is missing several files. Reinstall GTA:SA
