  1. the thing is, its not just mta. im getting the same issue on other games so what i was thinking is that my cpu is bottlenecking my graphics card... so thats when i decided to ask pc forums. they came up with all sorts of stuff. and yeah, my pc is all working... that happened a couple days ago but i fixed it with system restore..
  2. ive been getting some help from PC forums, and they are telling me it could be a video driver issue. i mentioned that my graphics card software stopped working.. it keeps saying amd vision engine control center cannot be started, because there are no settings or something like that... do you have any idea town on how to get the software working again? without reinstalling windows 7? ive already tried reinstalling the drivers but its not working... i tried using driversweeper and then tried installing it but then my usb keyboard and mouse wouldnt work anymore on windows. it would work in the bios and bootscreen though so i would be able to access system restore....
  3. I tried it without any mods, and its still pretty much the same.. (well, from what i can see...)
  4. ah okay, what do i do now town? i still have this issue... do i have to go buy a better cpu or what?
  5. my fps is the same with d3d9.dll removed. Okay, i tried installing it again. heres another mtadiag. http://pastebin.com/zxT6u1pE
  6. Oh, the audio driver issue might be because of the srs audio sandbox program i have that makes the audio sound a million times better, its got its own audio driver. and d3d9.dll is the mta addon called ultrathing from here, http://plod.mooo.com/#ultrathingy its basicly like a bare bones enb series without any fps loss.
  7. Okay done, downloaded all the drivers. (amd catalyst doesnt work tho, it says it cant be started because theres no settings. It worked back then tho when i first installed my new graphics card a couple months ago) heres the mtadiag http://pastebin.com/YWGPTap6
  8. Oh lol, thats just a little program that says it can boost the fps but i dont think its working. heres some info on it http://www.gtastunting.net/index.php?topic=53932.0
  9. here, http://pastebin.com/2KiZsUM8 (btw, thats pretty cool little program town)
  10. Uh... lol? figured it out yet? Im still having this issue
  11. it was already at high performance .. is there anything else i can do?

  14. I just recently upgraded my graphics card from a ati radeon hd 4200 integrated graphics card to a ati radeon hd 6670 ddr3 1gb and i just cant max out my san andreas for mta completely. I have to turn off volumetric shadows to get a steady fps, because i get these lag spikes in different areas of the valhalla roleplay map which make me go from 55 to 30 in a second or so when its on and that gets annoying to look at. although, if i dont move my screen or go anywhere i get the SAME fps as when i have the graphics all low. i just dont get it... i get 140fps in just the game iteself and 350 in interiors with everything maxed out... im thinking its my processor which is a amd phenom II dual core 521 3.5ghz processor (found out its a rebranded phenom though, but then i also discovered its like the fastest dual core athlon ever). I think its my processor because my friend who bought the SAME graphics card (well almost the same, he has the ddr5 version) but with a 3.2 ghz quad core amd phenom II and he gets 76 flat on valhalla which is the fps limit. i can even run need for speed shift at 60fps all maxed out, dirt 2 maxed out at 55fps, and gta 4 maxed out at 30fps. and dead space maxed out at the fps limit which is 30. so mta needs a quad core processor to get steady fps or what?..... Can anyone help me out?
  15. YEESSS, Everything is working just fine now for my friend, no more wierd serious lag, he can play games like san andreas again, and now his laptop is way faster than it was when he had vista. Hes getting better fps in alot of his games, better loading times, and he says his laptop boots up in around 15secs now. thanks a lot town your the best , i like people like you who know their stuff and actually use it to help people.
  16. Hey my friend needs some help .. my friend had a virus which destroyed his internet and made his laptop un use able so he had to use a windows xp sp3 installation disc to get rid of the virus... his computer is a compaq presario cq50 cq50-215nr which was a vista before he installed xp. later after the installation was finished we found out that HP/Compaq doesnt support windows xp drivers for this series of laptops.. so after some long searching we were able to somehow find some drivers.. and well he installed them but for some reason he still cant play any games at all such as grand theft auto san andreas.... there is also some really wierd lag thats going on in his laptop. He says it lags when he opens up tabs/programs like firefox skype, etc... I dont really understand cause his laptop is over twice as better as mine and i installed the same xp too on my laptop.. His should run faster... Okay well i anyways heres his dxdiag report... I Hope this isnt too much to handle towncivilian if your helping us.. 18. It can be kind of tough keeping in touch with your mta friends if you dont use stuff like skype, so i think it would be really cool if there was a button that you can click on the actual MTA itself that would open up a friends list and there you can add people, delete people, see what server they are on, see if they are online or offline, and also start a conversation with them (like it would open up a little chat window). Along with the friends list maybe there could be one big chat box for all the MTA players to chat on if they like? i really hope the friends list gets implemented i think it would be really useful...
  19. like the car doesnt delete. i want it so anytime you create a vehicle and the vehicle you created is idle for a certain amount of time the vehicle deletes. (even if you havent even entered your created vehicle at all ) edit: nvm i actually found out theres settings in the freeroam script for this... lol sorry..
  20. how would i make it so the bots try to kill you in a certain zone. cause my server has a dm zone but id like some bots in it so if you have no one else to dm with you can dm the bots for awhile. i got this script, which apparently has a hunting mode but i dont really know how to activate it and i dont think it works right. https://community.multitheftauto.com/index.php?p= ... ls&id=2036
  21. thanks snake, now how would i go about making a script that would make it so when players create a vehicle and leave it for awhile, it gets removed and also doesnt respawn like the mapped vehicles on the server?
  22. lol i did this, but i get a error function resetVehicleHandling(v) local h = getOriginalHandling(getElementModel(v)) for k,val in pairs(h) do setVehicleHandling(v, k, val) end addEventHandler("OnClientVehicleRespawn", getRootElement()
  23. i still dont understand . I wish i could but im no where near to real scripting. All i am really doing is downloading resources from people and like delete, copy, and pasting. So basically i just do alot of minor editing.... the only script i was ever able to do sucessfully on my own is a script where a sound or song plays when you join the server then it stops when you spawn. although i did get some help from the wiki.
  24. i dont see any errors.... edit: wooooow all i had to do was change the event handler at the bottom to onPlayerSpawn instead of onPlayerWasted
