Nope. We have like 50mb download size and the map is actually 300kb. Except that we are using some shaders, custom objects, custom weapons and some custom skins. And like I said, we have used semoweb to host 500 players on sa-mp so it wouldn't be a problem.

This is what the server manager gave me init [2] /usr/sbin/saslauthd -a pam -c -m /var/run/saslauthd -n 2 /usr/sbin/saslauthd -a pam -c -m /var/run/saslauthd -n 2 /sbin/syslogd /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start /usr/sbin/apache2 -k start /usr/sbin/cron /bin/sh /usr/bin/mysqld_safe /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/usr --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --user=mysql --pid-file ... logger -t mysqld -p daemon.error /usr/sbin/dovecot -c /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf dovecot-auth dovecot-auth -w pop3-login pop3-login pop3-login imap-login imap-login imap-login /usr/lib/postfix/master qmgr -l -t fifo -u pickup -l -t fifo -u -c trivial-rewrite -n rewrite -t unix -u -c cleanup -z -t unix -u -c cleanup -z -t unix -u -c proftpd: (accepting connections) /usr/bin/perl /usr/share/webmin/miniserv.pl /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf /usr/bin/perl /usr/share/webmin/miniserv.pl /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf /usr/bin/perl /usr/share/webmin/miniserv.pl /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf /usr/bin/perl /usr/share/webmin/miniserv.pl /etc/webmin/miniserv.conf /usr/sbin/xinetd -pidfile /var/run/xinetd.pid -stayalive -inetd_compat -inetd_ip ... /usr/sbin/sshd /usr/sbin/named -u bind

Still no luck. Does it happen because of mysql module. We are using that.

I told the server manager to change the port but he said that 7777 is widely used on net and won't make any difference. I guess it's MTA's problem.
-
Testing ports... Port 7900 UDP is open. Port 7777 UDP is open. Port 22005 TCP is open.
-
P.S The server ping is 150
-
I am sorry it's not for public as the owner said. BTW many people are using the same VPS to host 500 players on sa-mp. But it doesn't works with a single player in MTA.
-
yep it's the latest version. It works properly on my local server. But just got messed up on the vps. Is there any settings on Debian that I have to change?
-
Yep they are. The server just messed up when there is only a person join. What is going wrong?
-
What are the requirements to run Linux server?
-
Agreed with Remi-X. He had explained what I was trying to explain.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This tutorial will teach you how to put your windows server on debian linux The first thing we are going to do is create a new directory on anywhere you like. I will be creating the directory on my desktop. Name the directory server. Now, go to your (MTA Directory)->server. Then copy the mods folder and put it on your newly created server directory which was on desktop. After that, download the linux mta server from http://linux.multitheftauto.com/ and extract it. Go to that extracted folder and copy all the files. Then, paste it on your server folder which you have newly created. Allow it to overwrite. Now, if you have any modules for windows then it will not work. You must have modules which have .so at their end. Now, zip the server directory which was created on desktop. Upload the zipped file on your Debian machine and unzip it. Open putty and connect to your Debian machine. Put your username and password. After logging in use cd \usr\mta\server [The Path of your server directory on your Debian Machine] Once you are on that directory write this command screen ./mta-server And here you go. Enjoy! Things to Note: This is tested on Debian 6 [so, it may or may not work on other Linux Distro's] Make sure your modules are not DLL[Linux does not supports Windows modules] Also make sure you changed your mtaserver.conf modules path

Thanks! I will be making some tutorials now.
-
I was wanting this for a long long time. Thank you bunch!
-
If there is no section for tutorial then Other section is used. Don't you know that?
-
very nice! Keep it up.
-
I understand The Kid but let's say a person like the above person searching for tutorials. He/she will never find a tutorial because it's on a corner of a forum. There should be a sub-forum on COMMUNITY.MTASA.COM.
-
So, will it be added or not?

Whenever, more than 1 people join the server, the network problem popup on the middle of the screen with red color. We are using VPS. The specification is listed below: Node Slave11 Disk Space 60 GB Virtualization Type (OpenVZ) Operating System Debian 6 32-BIT Bandwidth 500 GB Memory 512 MB Burst 1 GB That is really annoying.

Don't know. It's getting on my nerves now!
