It has been a long, rough ten years that Project Redivivus has been in existence, and no doubt it has not been easy for us at all. Still, through perseverance, our team has managed to continuously develop something special that has held so dear to everyone's hearts for a very long time. Despite financial and developmental hardships, and the constant gain and loss of those who we call part of our team, it has not stopped us from working toward a brighter future for these mods that we care so much about. We are here, we are still working hard, and we will continue to reach our goals to ensure that you have the opportunity to make more memories playing the game mods that you enjoy. Now on the note of what I know everyone is dying to hear about: No, we are not done with 0.6 yet. I know this has been stalled for a very long time, and I wholeheartedly apologize. We have run into many issues throughout the years, which have only been made worse by heavy losses to our development team as people get older, get jobs, and move on with their lives. Despite this, we still have not given up, and we are closer to a release now than ever before. 0.6 Nightly 2 is on the verge of being made available, and this may very well be the final pre-development nightly before we move on to the next stage of stabilizing our development. The biggest thing holding us back right now are certain, specific key issues, bugs, and incomplete promised features that we feel are necessary for public use, as well as required to properly release a version that users can test for us. That being said, we are still constantly seeking out qualified, willing, trustworthy development team members that can help Project Redivivus breathe new life into our beloved Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City versions of Multi Theft Auto.

So... ANOTHER UPDATE! ixjf recently removed and replaced the code for the Boost library, which has massively dropped down the size of the vendor files needed to build 0.6. That being said, MTAClient in 0.6 now also runs on Windows XP 32-bit again! Unfortunately upon fixing that particular stopping bug, as well as some others, we discovered multiple new chat and sync bugs in GTA3:MTA 0.6 that will need fixing before another release is possible. Zurix is also hard at work trying to *hopefully* sync horns and sirens in GTA III finally. (This has always worked in GTA:VC, but GTA III has never had them working correctly). I'm also still attempting to get new MTAServer builds out for Windows XP 64-bit, Windows Server 2013, FreeBSD, and OpenBSD. (Currently we have ones available for all 32-bit versions of Windows, 64-bit versions of Windows using Windows SDK 8.1 and above, Ubuntu Linux, and all versions of Mac OS X, including Mojave 64-bit). So with all of that being said, we are now at the point where we need to resolve several more major bugs before a new release is possible, HOWEVER with the exception of the horn/siren issue, all of these bugs are brand new and have been caused by the new code, which means they didn't exist before and can be fixed. The client itself is actually so stable now that I was able to quickly compile everything and set MTAClient 0.6 up with a fresh copy of GTA III 1.1, and on the first try I was able to connect to a server, go in-game, and play without a single crash or error message popping up. This is a HUGE improvement over MTA 0.5r2 and earlier releases!!! The stability of MTAClient 0.6 itself is truly incredible at this point, and I'm super excited for us to get these problems finally resolved so everyone can test it out! Now on that note, we are still actively looking for more developers for both Green Code (MTA 0.x) and Blue Code (MTA 1.x). If you are interested, please contact me ASAP! CS:GO changer? What is that?
-
Check http://www.projectredivivus.com/ for that information, however it is hard to tell with the legacy 0.5r2 and earlier versions. All of the server browsers from those versions are now offline. We are working on adding a new one for 0.6, however that is still being developed, so very few people are actively hosting servers for the nightly builds we have released.

[Suche MTA GameMode ]Roleplay Oder RPG Gamemode

For GTA3:MTA, MTA:VC, or MTA:SA? -
That may be the way to go. Sadly everyone here is so disconnected from each other now, so it is hard to get everyone in one place at once.
-
Of course! (On a side note, it is getting really annoying that I'm no longer getting notifications of new topics in this board. I keep missing topics like this one! D: )
-
I hate to bump such an old topic, but theoretically could it be possible to have 5.1 be the "default" seen by MTA:SA unless manually changed by the user? Even as a long-term fix, that could be used to eventually promote users migrating over to newer versions, and eventually the default could be changed when the developers feel word has gotten around enough. (Kind of like the idea of how XP builds of MTA:SA still exist for those users while they are being encouraged to move over to a newer OS before XP support completely ceases in MTA:SA down the road).

NitroNN, I would suggest contacting the web developers directly regarding this. The website was indeed redesigned a few years ago, but they may take it negatively if you say it is "outdated". Try to approach them over private message in a friendly manner and see if they would like to try out your suggestions on a fresh look. I'm not sure of who is on the web development team these days, but I believe Blokker is still one of the original web developers from MTA's early days, and he still comes around from time to time on here.

Just in case anyone was getting worried about things on the Blue front too, here's another teaser for you... And yes. It compiles.
-
Why was this moved to the MTA:SA board? This is a MTA:VC issue...
-
No worries. The more players, the better!
-
It shall come back soon!

Alrighty...so that no one thinks we aren't making any progress, these are the commits thus far on the private GitHub repository this year alone: And here you can find a small changelog of just some of the things we have fixed: http://bugs.projectredivivus.com/changelog_page.php (The actual list is so large, it would be impossible to document it all. We have also lost track, as thousands upon thousands of changes, bug fixes, and features have been applied or added. The changelog list also only contains somewhat recent data from the last time the bug tracker was reinstalled fresh, and does not show past changes that applied to earlier builds of 0.6, nor 0.5.1).

MTAServer on Windows Vista and above 64-bit, (which is unfortunately unable to be built and possibly be used on Windows XP x64 due to the lack of 64-bit support for Windows XP in the publicly-released Windows SDK. This does not affect 32-bit Windows XP builds, and may be fixed in the near future, if possible).
-
Another little teaser for everyone! MTAServer is officially compatible with 64-bit Mac OS X Mojave!

Okay folks! Just a quick update! We're still hard at work and trying to get 0.6 Nightly 2 out the door to you all! Unfortunately we've come across a few more small bugs that we have decided to fix before releasing the new nightly so that users can have a more stable, friendly build to test and play with. That being said, in addition to us still also trying to fix the XP build issue, I am actively in the process of trying to get new builds of MTAServer for OpenBSD and FreeBSD built! (Apparently 0.5 included releases of these, however they were not widely known). Due to OpenBSD's security policies regarding code compilation, this requires us to replace an old Unix-specific function in order to get things building again. Anyway, more coming soon!
-
Andddd...Ubuntu Linux. And because why not.
-
We're getting closer every day to finishing Nightly 2! Right now we're just trying to iron out some stopping bugs that arose. While we do that, however, I just thought I'd share a couple more teasers with you guys! And yes, that is on Mac OS X.
-
Just a quick update: We were FINALLY able to build MTAServer on Linux. If all goes well, expect the new nightly soon!
