  6. nice, some stunts hard though, buts that because im noob. im more a fan of freeroam, so i like the freeroam version more, buts its good
  7. really like it! but started a simulair thing 2 days before i saw this topic dont worry chaos city is better anyway (because of the ramps to get on the roofs and getting hydra/hunter/rhino! like to do that, but would be kinda copying your map, so i dont).

  10. i cant help you, but others maybe can if you tell them what exactly you did before it crashed. as far as i know, you loaded up your map, and then it just crashed? or when trying to test, placing a new object or something else...

  13. that list was an example. the exploding barrel is one of these: 1217 barrel2 [1217] 1218 barrel1 [1218] 1222 barrel3 [1222] 1225 barrel4 [1225] i dont think you can place it at wiki, all the files can be found in: ...\MTA San Andreas\mods\map_editor\objects [normal: C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas\mods\map_editor\objects] it are .models file so use copy to -> notepad

  15. i think the bridge is made of diffetent parts (if you want the ID for the whole bridge); the road itself, the towers, etc. ill give ya a map which contains the whole bridge! will post it when having it. [edit]here ya got it Golden Gate Bridge. Its a bit away from the original map, so i suggest selecting a random object (element list --> objects only) and press F6. You can run the mmove tool over it if you want to... The red part south of the spawnpoint is UNsolid!
  16. and there isnt a way of letting us change the pool size manually i guess? btw if you change it you should make it so, that you can make 1000 objects in total and 500 DIFFERENT objects (just an example, you can change the numbers) you could let map creaters choose an object limit at start 250, 500 or 750 (again just example numbers). serveradmins could choose for downloading 250 ones only, so users with pc's that barely meet the requirements can join those servers (that servers could put it in their name). You should prevent players choosing 750, place their objects and changing it to 250 by letting them choose at start (when creating a new map), and automaticly ask the question to higher it when they reach it*. also if they´ve chosen 500 and they didnt even reach 250 when saving, ask them if they want to lower it (or ask them one time in 10 saves [to prevent that it gets annoying][and you couldnt geuss it, all those numbers are examples!], and add a function auto-lower/auto-higher limit). *ask after saving, and save again then (dunno why, just seams more smarter to me (if you get any problems when changing))
  17. that gonna be hard i think i also had it with a crane from top 2 bottom if you know the number of the object before the crane you know the object of the crane too
  18. if you mean you placed them in C:\Program Files\MTA San Andreas\mods\map_editor\objects and cant view them in the map editor, do this: i got this somewhere [at object number ...] after a crane, or at the crane itself... not very far in the list (going from top to bottem) try finding the object number [not id, but number in list] (above-right corner: "/14258), open up the file (in a text editor that can go to a certain line) and go the the same line as the number. delete that line, and you should be fine. (you say its two objects, so you have to delete 2 lines) [off topic] i have all.models too, but i want to delete all LOD's, does anyone know a way to delete all lines that contain "*LOD*"? (i prefer doing it with notepad or Word 2002 [10.4030.2625], but tell me anyway if you know a other program that can do it.) --> *LOD* the stars mean that anything can be placed in front of LOD and after it (most of you knew that already).
  19. you should be able to do that (put the objects of gta 3 in gta sa), but a .map file only contains a model ID, the models itself are in gta, which means, you can only do that, if all mta players have the objects of gta3 in SA, which most dont have. There is some mod that puts LC, VC, and SA together (with engine of SA), but then too, not all players will have it. So you can get the objects in Single player, but its pretty hard to get them in mta maps. Besides, the objects you add extra, wont be placed in mta map editor list (just an text file with ID and name) (you'd have to do that yourself). i only said its possible to put in single player, not that its easy! I somewhere read that the models are written in a different language!
  20. thats your port (well, its the default one), not your IP, an ip is *.*.*.* (for example: 80.238.38.23, or 231.3.190.1) do you know your IP? you dont need all seeing eye port to connect. if you dont know your IP: the only way i know to check it, is checking the IP of your internet connection, but it depends on your settings/connection/router yes or no/etc. i think. [edit]the link in the next post is better, that always works. checking ip of internet connection (doesnt have to be LAN connection 6)
  21. you mean the serverlist doesnt show your server? if so, try quick connect, type (in host field) localhost, and in the port field the server port you've set in the config file, if you have a password, put that in the password field. make sure the MTA Server is running (duh) and that its succesfully started.
  22. and there are servers to which you can upload your map to test it. then its for sure it works and if im right, you can just put a second version of your race on the same page, so the page is like MyD..nMapThatS..ks.map version 1 version 2
  23. well, in the map editor, my cop cars are having the wrong color too sometimes, but in my server (same map) its ok. rotating: ctrl + left/right/up/down/home/end
  24. maybe i can look up in temp. are the temp files deleted when closing down MTA (or MTA Map editor)? and if not: where are the temp files saved? i really hope i can find it in temp, i used (wasted, if i cant find the temp files) a lot of time for it. i've a server too (in which the map was saved). when you start an map you download that too, right? if so, where are they saved?
