how would i go about spawning a car and/or a ped in gta3 without the use of cheat strings eg the player gets into a specific vehical and activates a code that spawns like 10 columbians and some cars

it does if u set up the server from withein mta:ma... for some reasons instead of parsing the data it just adds it to the bottom of the .config file

yes its a window server but i have the folder to read only ill go and set the folder on the root nvm i must of un read onlyed it so ya problem solved do you want the screen name and ip of the ppl who were on at the time?

ok i start my server about 2:15 pm and whenever i wake up in the morning about 6:00 am it has shutdown. i checked the logs and the last entry is someone leaving i have no clue what is going on but theres no error message like application error or anything in the log

ok another question .. did you use a direct x hook to spawn new characters or did you modify the peds and let them be controlled by the server?

i found the problem... i noticed that alot of the variables were doubled up in the server.config. im assuming this is from mta:ma but i found em both and edited em both

i solved this netmeeting disables alot of features in direct x which are required in gta3. these items being disabled cause the low video memory problem. so ya problem solved

the only problem with not making an update is that people who play but dont check the webpage can no longer play. either they will give up or they will find another mod to suit their needs

new idea stor the health and ammo on vars in the server when the client detects damage send a command to the server to retreave the new health instead of the server getting the data from the client the cliet gets it from the server now if a client changed the values it wouldnt change on the server. this could also be used against thoes who pause just because they pause doenst mean they dont get hurt. when the return they receave the new health
