[XP]~Cnosi~>
Geat day everyone! Long time I was searching around internet what's exactly file .yuv but nothing found. I think it's image so something as .png or .jpg but maybe vector. First time I saw it in FFS Gaming files (\Multi Theft Auto 1.4\mods\deathmatch\resources\ffs\img) and I start thinking how I can utilize this files and where to create them (which program). And in what are better these files than .png or .jpg? Thanks for your answers and stay be positive! Peace Some files for example: http://www.mediafire.com/download/xey9a ... /hurry.yuv http://www.mediafire.com/download/qqvav ... camera.yuv http://www.mediafire.com/download/14a3d ... down_0.yuv http://www.mediafire.com/download/e55vh ... button.yuv Best regards, Link to comment
GTX
Basically, YUV is a file extension for a raster graphics file. They contain bitmap image data stored in YUV format, which splits color across Y, U and V (hence YUV). Therefore, brightness as the Y value and the color as U and V values. Link to comment
[XP]~Cnosi~>
So any tips where I should use it? And in what exactly it's better than normally using .png? Anyway thank for your reply sir! Link to comment
GTX
Well, I did a bit of comparison and just noticed that YUV is bigger than PNG (8 times bigger, at least in my case). I didn't go any further into comparison between those two. Might go deeper some day, but I don't have time. Link to comment
[XP]~Cnosi~>
I discovered that these files .yuv from FFS can't be open in any program and I tried so many for example: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Zoner Photo Studio, YUV Viewer. All of these program can't open it and YUV Viewer said that these files aren't full so... I don't know what program use to create .yuv files.... anyway big thank GTX from me! John Smith
Keep in mind that they could just fake the image extension type Link to comment
ixjf
You can't open them because they are not in valid format. They are modified image files so that people like you can't quickly get their hands on them. Link to comment

ixjf
If I told you, you would know how to reverse what FFS did too. In fact, if anyone told you, they would know how you did it, so it would render your 'protection' worthless, so you better find a way on your own. Link to comment
